Maryville Elite Camp 2026 Standouts

Prep Girls Hoops Missouri takes a look at a group of Class of 2026 prospects who caught our eye at the Maryville University Elite Camp.    A 6'1" forward from Jefferson County who was one of the top front court players that I watched at the camp. She has good fundamentals in the post where she gets seals and was catching and finishing with both hands. She can also catch it from the high post and attack the basket effectively.     A 5'6" guard who was consistently making good plays off the dribble to get buckets. She was breaking down defenders with some good escape moves and she also unleashed a nice step-back jumper. She also did a good job of moving and relocating to the open spots to hit 3-pointers.     A 5'5" point guard from Arkansas who has good speed and quickness along with a high basketball IQ. Her court vision is excellent and she was making good basketball decisions while playing at a quick tempo. She was getting downhill on the dribble while also being able to knock down open 3-pointers.     A 5'7" guard from Class 2 state power Tipton who is impressive in how she just goes about her business of getting buckets and creating plays for her teammates. Her handles are very good and she was fully capable of scoring off dribble penetration of hitting perimeter jumpers from 3-point range.     A very talented 6'0" post player from Iowa who was displaying her versatile skill set at any spot on the floor. She was using her strength and footwork to work out in the low post. She also took her game out of the perimeter where she was a capable ball handler and passer. She was also hitting 3-pointers off the catch. She is definitely a matchup problem.     A 5'4" point guard from the metro east area (IL) St. Louis area who has quickness and displayed good floor leadership at both ends of the court. Her playmaking was excellent. She was knocking down open 3-pointers while also dropping her own dimes to open teammates.     A 5'10" power forward who plays a very solid game in the paint. She may be undersized when matched up against 6-footers, but she makes up for it when her physical strength and good positioning.     A 5'8" guard from Iowa who was shooting it well from 3-point range, whether she was in the halfcourt offense or in transition. She moved well without the ball and was shot ready off the catch. Her step-back jumper was also very effective from long distance.     A 5'8" point guard from Indiana who was playing the position the way it was meant to be played. Even in a camp event where people are geared to score, she was showcasing her court vision and tremendous passing skills at every opportunity. She was feeding the ball into the low post, finding open shooters on the penetrate and kick and dropping dimes in transition.     A 5'8" forward from St. Charles County who is physically strong and who plays with good positioning at both ends of the court. Her passing skills were also very good as she did a good job locating and hitting open cutters for layups. She could also score inside with a nice drop step.
