Top Teams and Players in DII-AA East Region

Catholic and Webb Knoxville will still be at the top of the standings with Chattanooga Christian on the upswing. The top two teams are just hard to deal with, especially after both have been successful going deep into the tournament over the past few years . The two Knoxville teams made it to the finals last year and Knoxville Catholic has won it the past two seasons. Final four appearances for both schools wouldn't be out of the question.Though the top of the standings may be strong with the two Knoxville teams leading the pack, there is still quality basketball played in this region. Kids in both the Chattanooga and Knoxville areas have gotten better and all schools have taken significant steps to bring in quality student athletes to compete and represent their prospective schools.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One thing for sure about this region, there is some star power amongst the talent in the area. Girls who not only can compete at a high level, but will go on to play collegiate basketball. These stellar ball players are supported by impactful role players that will help make matchups interesting this upcoming season. The league might have favorites, but please believe each and every game won't be a cake walk. There seems to be a new era of East Tennessee dominance in women's basketball in this state. Look for this year to be more of the same, just like previous years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>What I personally like about this region is that it is filled with a lot of girls who play with heart and tons of grit. They are some grinders who enjoy the process and love the game for what it's worth. They train, go to camps and showcases, and compete on high level circuits. This in turn raises the quality of basketball on the high school scene. This will definitely be an interesting season this upcoming year. Though the games have to be played,&nbsp; you better believe each team will be fighting tooth and nail for a victory.
