2025 Tuesday Night Tip-Off: Opening Night

It's that time of the year where gymnasiums around the state are packed as our star athletes hit the hardwood to put on a show and compete. Tuesday marked opening night and there were a lot of key matchups around that state that got the season kicked off.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the biggest matchups was Dll-A finalist Goodpasture taking on Lipscomb Academy. The Lady Cougars came out with a vengeance and displayed why they are favorites to make it back to the final four. Their guard play was spectacular as their down hill attack freed up open looks on the perimeter. Lipscomb Academy has other things in mind. They had too much firepower as their newly built squad stroked daggers from three and was big time on the boards. She picked up her scoring barrage right where she left off from last year. This young lady came in clutch down the stretch and got the scoring run going to LA. She knocked down clutch shots from afar while getting paint touches with ease. Look for her to continue on this impressive streak of double digit scoring as she now has wingmen that can open up even more shot opportunities for her. Though her team dropped this one, Brooklyn and her teammates will bounce back ready to get this taste of defeat out of their mouth. Both team came into this contest wanting to display just how hard they worked this offseason . TKA came out focused on stopping the senior duo of [player_tooltip player_id='409073' first='Chloe' last='Heath'] and [player_tooltip player_id='810476' first='Carsyn' last='Swaney']. In doing so, it allowed some other Lady Lions to eat as they went on an impressive 13-3 run. The game wasn't close as Heritage pushed the lead to 17 by half time. Holding TKA to 12 points in the half.
