in this article , we hilight some of the standout performances on Day 1 of the Annual Inside Exposure Thanksgiving Tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='219786' first='Kennedy' last='Deal'] came to play on Day 1 of the tournament and “write this down”: She solidified herself as the "Real Deal" and one of the top Freshmen in the State. Deal showcased the same versatile game that was on display at the PGH Expo a few months ago. Deal has a combination of physicality, agility and explosiveness. These attributes allowed her to dominate the Prep Girl Expo earlier this Fall, and she was very effective at this week's Inside Exposure tournament, a platform a lot more competitive . The young Deal was scoring over some of the top players in the State. Her physicality and explosiveness stood out, and she also shot the ball at a high percentage, which included a few from behind the arc. Deal has the ability to put the ball down and attack the rim and the physicality to score against physical contact. Her midrange shots were filled with confidence and she was money all game. Deal was also "real" on the boards. She rebounded on both ends of the floor and had a lot of offensive rebounds and put-backs. The young Deal thrives on giving effort on the boards. She posted a double double in the first week of play, realizing that she can impact the game in a lot of ways. On day one, she did just that!

[player_tooltip player_id='300374' first='Nylah' last='Wilson'] put on a big show in a small amount of time. It was just enough to see how talented this guard is. Wilson is a three level scorer who can shoot the three, shoot the midrange, and get to the rim with some nifty handles and acrobatic finishes when necessary. Defensively, Wilson created havoc with active hands and quick feet. She was active in the driving lanes and defended well in the passing lanes. shoot the three , crafty finisher. The Auburn commit was one of the best in the building.

[player_tooltip player_id='346835' first='Jaida' last='Civil'] jumped for a rebound and a loud sigh was heard in the room. Not by just the fans, but by college coaches too. This is normal for those who follow the incredibly athletic Civil. Civil, the recent Tennessee commit , She heated up in the second half, scoring from behind the arc, turn around jumpers over players 4 inches taller, and double pump one handed floaters. Defensively, she had some on ball steals and a few blocks protecting the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='931582' first='Lara' last='Somfai'] was very impressive out there on the court. The big is a big-tine talent who has great size, great footwork and was able to score down on the blocks against elite defenders. Somfai was also impressive on the defensive end. She was rejecting anything close in her vicinity and especially against guards trying to get to the rim. She was solid in all phases: offense, rebounds, defense, and in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id='515288' first='Dezuray' last='McGill'] was impressive on Day 1, showing that she is a major part of her teams success. McGill battled in the paint all day and sometimes while diving on the floor for loose balls. She was really impressive getting position down on the blocks, often and immediately into the possession. She gave her guards easy targets to hit and she converted the shot or made a great pass that led to a basket. Defensively, McGill was formidable in the middle contesting shots and blocking others. She was a force on the boards mixing it up, and an imposing “big” running up and down the court. Her team pulled out a victory and McGill definitely was an intricate part. On Day one, she was arguably the most valuable part.

[player_tooltip player_id='248376' first='Arianna' last='Robinson'] was another impress prospect on Day 1. The young guard was a standout last year as an 8th grader. She displayed a high ball IQ and an advanced skillset for such a young player. One year later and Robinson is a “veteran” now. Her ability to attack the rim is impressive, but her ability to convert the shot (sometimes difficult ones) is on another level of impressiveness. Robinson has excellent court vision and her ability to navigate and direct her teammates while running the floor with the ball in her (a la Magic Johnson) draws rave reviews, too. Defensively, Robinson plays in your face and gets plenty of steals with the quick hands and anticipation.

[player_tooltip player_id='470461' first='Kamie' last='Ellis'] set the tone early in her game and stood out all over the floor. Her ability to run the floor was very effective and she converted some crucial layups in transition . Ellis also shot the ball well from behind the arc, knocking down several three pointers. Ellis also played well in offensive sets. She looks for her shots , but she is also a playmaking guard who sets up teammates when she draws a double team.
