Each young member of her team should buy her a turkey on Thanksgiving. Ellis was also good in the finals with some timely buckets and good defense (2 three pointers and 6 steals). Ellis is a skilled player who can shoot the three and also get to the rim. She was the catalyst in Lakeland, playing at a high level on both sides of the ball.

Ellis is prime-time shooter who can shoot the three off the catch and also off of the dribble. She was tied for the most steals over the two weeks at Lakeland with 10 total swipes – 4 in the Semifinals and 6 in the Championship Win. Her combination of quick-twitch athleticism, length, and basketball IQ allow her to read the defense and get aggressive with 4 other teammates who have her back that recover quickly like she does, too. MCDS only allowed 36 ppg on defense which led Kamie to getting her first State Championship with the Spartans!
