Something that I love about Jayvee Woodard and her game is that she plays with energy, passion, all while being poised. Woodard would be described as an "energizer bunny" because of her high motor and vocal communication. When she is on the court, she is someone that seems to never stop moving, making it a real challenge for her opponents to stick with her during an entire contest. Bellueve West will be in somewhat of a rebuild these next couple of years, so they will be looking for someone to take over and Woodard is going to be called upon to show what she can do. If it's anything like I've seen in the past, she is going to shock some spectators and thrive.

Scott impressed this past Fall at our PGH Showcase, demonstrating her ability to handle, attack, facilitate, and defend. In the open court, she was someone that was tough to stop in 1v1 matchups and she also showed that she understands her own skill-set. She isn't the type to force a bad shot or take to the hoop, as she understands that's will open up around her with time. This Winter I'm expecting a nice season from Scott. She should be their leader with the ball in her possession so she should be the force that can get her group to get after it.

Elkhorn South is stacked with a nice underclassmen group. Someone that has been a constant for them since she was a Freshman is SG, [player_tooltip player_id='753083' first='Rowan' last='Swartz']. Swartz is a knock down, calm and consistent shooter from deep. She may only be a Sophomore this Winter but she has an experienced game, that translates well. The question she is going to have to answer to start this season will be, did she get better in other aspects of the game in the offseason? If so and she has become more of a complete guard, then watch out cause this team is going to be a dangerous one for years to come.

The Millard West system is one of the hardest places to play in the state because of their mixture of an elite roster, sound coaching, and the amount of effort they give throughout each contest. Someone that is going to grow up in their group, who should play a little this season and a lot by the time she is an upperclassman is SG, [player_tooltip player_id='897024' first='Kinley' last='Morgan']. It's no disrespect to Morgan, this Varsity roster is just a tough one to crack though. Especially when it's returning most of its players from a 28-1 season a year ago but that shouldn't deter her from working for a spot. Morgan has balance, vision, smarts, a soft touch on the ball, and a fundamental release with the basketball whenever she is attempting a jumper. Those things are all positive and when used in the correct way, they can be deadly. As long as she sticks to the plan and trust the process, I'm sure her time will come before everything is compete.

[player_tooltip player_id='1057808' first='Ella' last='Homan'] of Perkins County High School is someone that we haven't talked much about but I could see that changing over these next six months. Homan is going to be a Sophomore on her Varsity team and she is going to be someone that makes her mark in each contest, whenever she is getting minutes out on the floor. As long as she can show off her ability early on during this season, she is going to find herself on the floor a good amount. That will also depend on their team strategy but this is a 2027 that understands the game from a strategic point, more than most. That is going to be a factor at some point down the line. I'm not sure if it'll be this season or not. Either way, she will be prepared for when that moment calls.
