[player_tooltip player_id='346854' first='Jolena' last='Gardner'] possesses so many skills as a basketball player. Not many players can play four to five positions on the floor, but Gardner has the physical tools and skillset to do so. Gardner has the physical strength to withstand the physical contact in the paint, the footwork to play out on the perimeter, and the ball-handling skills to play at the guard position if needed. Defensively, Gardner plays with a chip and thrives on playing against elite competition.
[player_tooltip player_id='370059' first='Nacoya' last='Blocton'] has been consistently good for the past few years and she is definitely one of the top scoring forwards in any class in the State. The term point forward applies because she is often used to initiate the offense. She can shoot the three off of the catch or off the dribble. Blocton can also play on the blocks with her back to the basket and put a forward in a bind. She has the ability to pull up for the short midrange jumper; she can back an opponent down and spin to the left or right (and score); and she has the physicality to score right through a defender. Blocton is also a beast in the transition game and can rebound it and take it coast to coast. Defensively, she is very good on the helpside, and she is versatile enough to play on the insideand the perimeter. She is long and lengthy, has active hands and plays the passing lanes very well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1039015' first='Aaliyah' last='Grant'] really left a great impression after her play at the PGH Expo. Grant's is an elite athletic player who combines physical skills with skills of a smaller forward. Grant's ability allows her to dominate in the paint. Not many players can match her physicality. In many games, Grant simply dominates in the paint. She possesses excellent footwork in the paint, great quickness, and is explosive to the rim. Grant also rebounds extremely well and again that's attributable to her physical gifts. She has always averaged close to double digits in points and rebounds and she is poised to compete for the double-double award at the end of the season .

[player_tooltip player_id='908911' first='Elise' last='Horne'] has been on our radar all summer long. Consistent effort and constant energy best describe Horne. Her play on the court is productive and inspiring at the same time. Horne is physically gifted with strength on the inside. Her toughness in the paint keeps the opposition off the glass. She makes up for her height difference with her effort, strength, and ability to get to the ball. Horne works hard on the offensive board and gets a lot of offensive putbacks. She also gives her team extra possessions. Horne has played her role well and has been a key component in her teams three straight State championships.
