To be a, “Stock-Riser”, means a few things depending on how you look at it but the most important factor in my opinion is that the prospect is continuously putting in meaningful work in their off-time and that work is translating to the floor in real game-time. In this piece, we cover five individuals out of this 2026 Class in Iowa, that have embodied what it means to be a Stock-Riser these past few months.

[player_tooltip player_id='912093' first='Avery' last='Moon'] of Valley High School is a better than average prospect for her 2026 Class, that does a solid job out on the floor. Moon competes with the Tigers for High School ball and she is on an EYCL team for the [program_tooltip program_id='712377' first='All' last='Iowa Attack']. She competes at the Forward position but could also move to the 3 spot if need be, depending on the line up around her. She has demonstrated that she has coordination both near and far from hoop, she can put it on the floor if pressured, and she is able to defend multiple positions at the Varsity level. I'm not sure where Moon will land for her collegiate career but whoever gets her, is getting a hard worker, who continues to get better, each and every off-season.

I could say a lot about [player_tooltip player_id='837358' first='Natalie' last='Ramsey'] but in reality, I think over the next two years that she is going to continue to show the state of Iowa that she is one of the top 2026 prospects. Ramsey, a South Dakota Women's Basketball commit, is a mid range specialist, who isn't afraid to mix it up and get all the way to the bucket for a take. Actually, her IC - Liberty team, loves to run action for her to catch in the post and when she catches it clean with no help-side, it's usually going to be a good look for her in some way. Not to push through this Winter but I'm excited to see Ramsey again this AAU season. Her Missouri Phenom 17U - Iowa hub team is going to be even more impressive than year's past and she should will be a starter, so I'm intrigued to see how she handles a roster with most other college committed prospects. Either way though, I'm sure Ramsey will continue to be a name we mention in this state, all the way until she graduates after next Winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='592199' first='Aubrey' last='Kelly'] of Benton Community High School was recently mentioned last week for her breakout performances to start the 2024 - 2025 High School season with her Bobcats program. Kelly is a dominant force near the hoop, that can handle her own on both ends. She is someone that is a main producer within her team's offense and she also plays a pivotal role in their success on the defensive end as well. I expect Kelly to continue to put up great numbers the next year and half. If she stays on this pace, I'm sure there is going to be a handful of recruiters that should be reaching out to her, throughout the Midwest at the least.

You usually don't have a D1 player at the 1A or 2A levels throughout Iowa. When you do, you know. In this case, we are talking about [player_tooltip player_id='595151' first='Rowan' last='Jacobi'] of Springville High School. Jacobi is a 6'2 PF with touch, coordination, balance, physicality, and a ton of future potential as it pertains to this game of Basketball. On every court that Jacobi steps on, she is one of the tallest, if not thee talent. This helps her and her team in almost every possible situation. She can defend the rim as a protector, she will rebound over most on both sides of the ball, she is a very tough matchup in 1v1 situations with her back to the basket, and she is willing to do whatever is necessary to help out the teammates around her. I'm not sure if Jacobi will start early on at South Dakota. She still has two years of Varsity ball left at Springville. If she can show her full capabilities in that time, who knows?

There are several prospects across the state of Iowa that have had very impressive starts to their season's and one of those players is [player_tooltip player_id='901710' first='Avah' last='Underwood'] of St. Albert High School. Underwood, a 6'0 SF/CG, has been doing everything asked of her up until this point in her career and she is really starting to shine from the looks of it. To kick things off, Underwood is averaging better than average numbers for her position and age at the Varsity level right now. With how this team's system works and the other pieces they have around, it'll be fun to watch them the rest of the Winter. As for Underwood individually, keep an eye on her. She is someone with some D2 visits under her belt already, so it will all comes down to who offers and which place feels right to her in the end.
