Here are six players out of the 2027 Class, who are competing at the Varsity level in Nebraska this Winter. Each prospect has demonstrated over their career's so far that they have the potential and that they are dedicated enough to compete at the collegiate level within the next few seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='1045011' first='Kamryn' last='Scott'] came out to our PGH event this Fall and she showed to being one of the most put together players at the Point position. Scott has some good speed to her side-to-side movement, she understands how to handle under pressure, she can create for others as the primary ball handler, and she also gets her own at a steady rate. When considering a prospect for the next level, you have to really take into consideration everything and one reason why I think that Scott could do it, other than because of her skill-set, is because of how mentally locked in she is with understanding the game. When you can be self-aware, it can take you to some marvelous places and I think that Scott will have a chance to show that off one day, if she stays engaged.

When you go to check out the stat book for the state of Nebraska after Week 1 of games, you notice out of this 2027 Class that [player_tooltip player_id='817138' first='Tabi' last='Forney'] has been a force. Last Winter this was the case and we are back again for more apparently. In her first contest of the season, Forney recorded 25 Points on 50% shooting from the field, as well as recording multiple Rebounds, Assists, and Steals. Not to mention, 3 Blocks. This may only be one game but Forney does pass the eye test of being someone that could produce in some form/facet in college. She would just need to find the right opportunity for herself. She put up some wild stat lines as a Freshman and it seems like that is going to continue for her Sophomore Winter as well.

Last year I came to the realization that if we are just talking about the bare-bones of being a knock down three point shooter, than [player_tooltip player_id='753083' first='Rowan' last='Swartz'] of Elkhorn South should be in the conversation for one of the best throughout the state for the 2027 Class. Swartz has a quick trigger, self awareness, balanced footwork, talented vision, and the ability to put it on the floor if she is over-played on her jumper. When there are others around that can create, this is the perfect prospect to be a in catch-and-shoot offensive system. She can do some other things herself as a guard but her best ability is definitely working off the ball, looking for three point bucket opportunities. That alone should get her on a college roster. From there, who knows where else she might take things.

Bridgeport High School is going to have a shot at an undefeated regular season once again, prior to making it to the Playoffs or State Tournament. If they take care of things how they should, it should be somewhat an easy path but you still have to play the games in front of you. Someone for this squad, that will definitely be playing college ball before you know it is SG - [player_tooltip player_id='1045021' first='Olivia' last='Brown']. Brown is a lefty that has a high arching shot, that usually looks like it's going in, no matter where she lets it go from. She competes with a bigger base than most, giving her the opportunities to play off of two feet a majority of the time. Other than being physically gifted, Brown is a student of the game. She just loves to watch ball in general it seems like and you can tell that she is always trying to learn from her mistakes. If you want it enough in this game, you'll make it happen and that's exactly what is going to happen here.

[player_tooltip player_id='1045013' first='Kendal' last='Heimes'] demonstrated this AAU season that she could be the real deal within a highly competitive program one day, if she keeps on working on her weaknesses. Heimes is the type that isn't great at anything, per se but she is good at everything. She can rebound better than most as a guard, she can shoot and score from all three offensive levels, she is a willing and able passer, she likes to get physical at times, and she is someone that everyone on the court can look up too. I'm sure at Lincoln Pius this Winter that Heimes will see the floor in some form. She is too good in general to not see it at all in my opinion but if that is the case, she just needs to keep working because her promise is higher than most at this age level currently.

Another interesting individual, that has size, a better than average shooting ability, and a smart type of play-style is [player_tooltip player_id='865480' first='Addison' last='Bratt'] of Elkhorn North. North is going to be looking for new producers this Winter. If they want to win, it'll be by committee with the possibilities of a number of different players going off on any given evening. If Bratt is set in a system where she can show off her best ability, she is going to do really well. As a Freshman, she was someone to know out of this Class and program. That doesn't change. We are talking about a nearly 6'0 SG, that has some athletic ability and she makes good choices that aren't going to hurt you as a program or coach. That's all you can ask for and so I wouldn't be shocked if Bratt becomes a hot commodity in the recruiting world over these next few years.
