[player_tooltip player_id='777232' first='Melina' last='Snoozy'] holds onto the #1 spot out of her 2027 Class moving into the thick of her Sophomore season. Snoozy is a next level Shooting Guard, that understands how to use her size to her advantage. This is a player that thrives at the 2 position with her mixture of length, skill, and knowledge of the game but within her high school team's offense, she is asked to post up smaller defenders near the hoop and to really work the painted areas as well. At the D1 college level, she should thrive as a pure SG who can either let it go from deep or she can put it on the floor and get to other offensive spots that she may favor. Bishop Heelan has a tough, tough schedule this Winter and I respect that. It's going to be a gauntlet to get through but everyone is going to come out on the other side better because of it.

The slow and steady progression of [player_tooltip player_id='777225' first='Katie' last='Muller'] over the years is nothing short of impressive. Muller has put together a seasoned play-style, an elite shooting ability, all while standing right around 6'1-6'2. It's obvious why there are several Power-5 programs out there in contact will Muller at this point. Only being a Sophomore and having this type of game is not something you see often. In the correct system this is someone who could light it up at a high rate and become a top shooter in the Country at the collegiate level but right now she is locked in on what's in front of her and that is her current high school season at DC.

Sioux Center is coming into this Winter as one of the most slept on teams across the state of Iowa and they are ready to show everyone who is watching, what they are really about. A Freshman who helped them make waves last Winter, who is back for more after a spectacular off-season is Forward - [player_tooltip player_id='777226' first='Maryn' last='Franken']. Franken has size, physicality, a soft touch on the ball, a better than average shooting ability, and her play style isn't crazy flashy. Instead, it's simple and to the point. Two things that college coaches love to see. By the looks of it, Franken is going to be a D1 prospect when her high school career comes to a close. Now it's just figuring out where at.

[player_tooltip player_id='1044965' first='Tylee' last='Weite'] is another player that has been rising up the ranks over the years and this time, she moves into the #4 spot for her 2027 Class. Weite has a sniper from deep, she plays smart and calculated defense, she is willing to sacrifice her body for the good of the team without asking any questions, and she understands what it means to play against other nationally ranked competition. At Valley this Winter, Weite should be their top dawg and producer in a lot of categories before the season comes to a close. From there she will step back on the AAU floor with her [program_tooltip program_id='712377' first='All' last='Iowa Attack'] team and look to continue on with whatever momentum she has put into place.

The Johnston Dragons continued on their dominant run from last season by starting off last week with some big victories. In those victories, CG/PG - [player_tooltip player_id='644557' first='Ari' last='Phillips'] made her mark and registered some notable stats. Phillips is a smooth operator. Ever since she was a young age, she has been naturally more talented than most and now it's time to see that full potential come out to compete. In their first contest Phillips scored 16 points, while also grabbing some boards and dishing out a few assists. If Phillips stays consistent over the next 3 months, she is going to help her Dragons to another really successful season as a whole.
