She has good size and length for the point guard position. She moves well and did a nice job defensively against Shiloh Christian. I liked her 'feel' for the game. Everything seemed to come to her naturally - she passed when she should have passed, and she shot when she should have shot. She had a very good game against Shiloh Christian. She was smart running the lanes in transition, had several great box outs, and brought a veteran presence to a young team. Edyn will be key in leading this team going forward. She brought a sense of calm to this squad. She moves very well for her size and is a great competitor. She was defending and battling older posts on Shiloh Christian all night long. She was able to keep key possessions alive by retrieving offensive rebounds. She made many athletic finishes around the rim and kept space when her guards drove into the lane. She has the frame that coaches look for in a player. Her size and length allows her to play multiple positions defensively. She was able to shoot from the outside and also had several tough finishes around the rim. She is a scrappy defender, getting a steal for a 'pick 6' layup in the first half. She knocked down 2 big first-half three point shots to keep Shiloh Christian within striking distance. She played very good on-ball defense, keeping her girl in front of her and not letting her go downhill. When Shiloh pressed, Macie was great at anticipating the passing lane and picked off a handful of passes for steals. She looks like a future college basketball player with her size and athleticism. She runs the floor really well and has potential to be an outstanding defender. She had a couple of tough shots that she was able to convert. The 5'11 senior forward plays with a great motor. Her effort offensive and defensive rebounding is something her team will need in order to be successful. She has a quick first step and was able to finish in traffic. She did a nice job of drawing fouls and was able to convert on And-1 opportunities. Elizabeth looked like a top notch player against the Cardinals.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Both Carrington and Shiloh Christian have some young players to keep an eye on going forward.
