Expert Analysis

Megan is geared up for a great season. She balled out during AAU and picked up a ton of regional D2 offers and a D1 offer from NDSU. Her older sister Emily was a standout at NDSU, so that might be the way Megan is leaning. I think she is taking her time with her decision and is going to weigh the pros and the cons of a D1 level to the D2 level. She can excel at the next level.

fan for a long time and saw her potential early as a young player. She has a handful of Division 2 offers and recently was offered by Division 1 local school NDSU. The senior is looking to lead the Shanley Deacons back to the state tournament in 2025-2026. She is part of a really talented group that will have opportunities to win a bunch of games. She can play inside and out and defend multiple positions. She has a really high ceiling as a recruit.

Megan is an excellent prospect and really had a nice summer down south on Sioux Falls top 17U team. She holds offers from nearly every NSIC school, one of the top Division 2 leagues in the country. The NSIC often gets girls with Division 1 offers and/or experience. A couple of weeks ago Megan attended NDSU’s elite camp and walked away with her first Division 1 offer.

Coaches love players that are 6’2 and can play inside or out. Megan played alongside

on SD Sanford’s top team and made a lot of heads turn this summer. Megan has the perfect college basketball frame and racked up a ton of NSIC offers from her terrific play. Megan is strong enough to play down low but athletic enough to play outside. In addition to her defensive potential, she can also stretch the floor with her three-point shooting ability.

I love this kids ability to score. Great pure shooter with deep range. Great size for a shooing guard, mismatch problem. A player with the ability to play at both ends of the floor.

Megan continues to get better and is now gathering multiple division 2 offers from the regional D2 schools. She has an incredibly high ceiling due to her height and athletic ability. She could play on the perimeter at a mid-major type of school or be a post at the D2 level. She is just scratching the surface.

Megan is one of the best prospects in the 2026 class. She is a true 6’2 and is incredibly athletic and long. She is what colleges dream of in a prospect. When they see Megan warming up this summer at her AAU events, they will immediately make note of her due to her basketball frame. Megan had a solid season and was certainly in the conversation of being an All-Conference player. She finished the season averaging 10.4 points per game, 4.6 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Dietz is putting up a respectable 13 ppg. Much like Seavert, Megan gets buckets in the lane, in transition, and from beyond the 3-point arc. Dietz’s offensive game has many dimensions, she can handle the basketball, post up on the block, hit pull-ups, step back jumpers, and drain the trey. Right now I would say the best part of Megan’s offensive game is her passing, she is averaging 4 assists a game as a post player and her 3-point shot has been deadly this year.

Megan is the first player college coaches see when they walk into the gym. She has the frame every team is looking for. Her size and athleticism allows her to play guard or post up. She runs well and has a good jumping ability. She is able to handle the ball and can shoot the three at a high percentage. Megan looks a little better each time I see her play. She has a very high ceiling as a college prospect.

Megan showed off her 3 point shooting ability going 4 for 6 from behind the arc. Megan finished Saturday’s game with 16 points. She is a very good athlete and can get to the rim in addition to her outside shooting. Megan is going to progress nicely throughout the season as Shanley learns to play with better pace and spacing. Megan also did a nice job competing defensively against
