The 1A classification is the smallest classification of sanctioned high schools in Arkansas. All of the schools in each of its eight conferences are some of smallest schools in the state, and yet, they still produce great talent. 15 players from the 1A classification are featured on the 2027 ranking, so let us learn about a few of them.

Wonderview has been able to produce some great talent, and they have one of the best sophomores in the state in [player_tooltip player_id='883555' first='Kyah' last='Simmons']. She has put up some strong scoring outings so far this season, and she has some of the highest potential out of anyone in the 2027 class.

Simmons is a strong 3-point shooter who will get going at a moment's notice. She has a lot of confidence in her outside shot, and she has one of the quickest releases in Conway County. Simmons is at her best off the catch, but she can also drive to the basket, where she can finish or draw contact to head to the line.

Simmons is one of the best defenders in the 1A classification. She records multiple steals a night, which includes a 5-steal performance against Danville earlier this season. She specializes in poking passes away and making sure points come out of those turnovers.

[player_tooltip player_id='883555' first='Kyah' last='Simmons'] is one of the best players to come out of the 1A classification, regardless of class. I believe she has serious college basketball potential, so it will be worth keeping up with Wonderview this season.

Joshlynn "Joshi" Brown has had some great games this season, and she has emerged as one of the best players in the 1A-4 conference. Brown has been able to score effectively this season, but I am more impressed with her defensive ability.

Brown has had a multitude of games where she has recorded at least one steal. She had 7 steals versus Danville in November, and most recently, she had 3 steals against Mulberry. It seems that whenever Brown records multiple steals, County Line wins, which shows her value to this team. Brown is also an opportunist shot-blocker.

On offense, Brown is a confident outside shooter. She can come off a screen and be ready to catch and shoot. Her release is quick and she has excellent shot elevation. She is also able to score in transition, as well as facilitating the offense for her teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='867838' first='Joshlynn' last='Brown'] is going to continue to improve for County Line, and this team is one of the best up-and-coming squads in all of 1A.

[player_tooltip player_id='877662' first='Taylor' last='Reese Richardson'] has already picked up an offer from Lyon College, and she has been showing just why she deserves an offer so early in her career.

Richardson has played well on both ends so far this season. She is one of the best players in 1A at scoring in transition. She starts the fastbreak herself, or is one of the first players to leak out in transition. Richardson is a solid finisher, who does not mind scoring through contact. She can also set her teammates up to score, dishing out assists multiple times a night.

Often times, when you start the fastbreak, it is because you forced a turnover at the other end. That is often the case with Richardson. She can force multiple turnovers in order to have those fastbreak opportunities. Richardson can also block some shots whenever she gets the chance.

[player_tooltip player_id='877662' first='Taylor' last='Reese Richardson'] is one of the better all-around players in the 1A classification, and she is becoming one of the best players in the 2027 class.

Sacred Heart is one of the more underrated teams in the 1A classification, but they tend to produce solid talent. One of the more notable post players in this classification is [player_tooltip player_id='1091217' first='Madeline' last='Rohlman'], who I believe is one of the best (if not the best) shot blockers in 1A.

Rohlman's 6'1" stature and long arms makes her a fantastic rim protector, and she swats multiple shots away every night. Often, she records multiple blocks in the same possession, and it is an awful idea for any team to challenge her in the paint. I would like to see Rohlman become a better defensive rebounder, but even if the opposition grabs an offensive board, she will end up blocking their putback attempt.

Rohlman is a solid paint scorer. She is always ready to receive a pass and score inside. She can also post up and seal off the defense in order to create space. Rohlman may not be a great defensive rebounder, but she knows how to get second chance opportunities as she is a fantastic offensive rebounder. A lot of her points come from putbacks. Though Rohlman scores a lot in the paint, she needs to be a stronger finisher, especially when contact comes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1091217' first='Madeline' last='Rohlman'] is a solid young player for Sacred Heart. There is much for her to improve upon, but there is even more that warrants her a spot on the 2027 ranking.

[player_tooltip player_id='1090361' first='Maggie' last='Tyrone'] will be higher than #46 after the next ranking installment. Tyrone has become one of the best scorers in the 1A classification, and I would like to think she is one of the more underrated scorers in the 2027 class.

Tyrone can score inside and out. From the outside, Tyrone is a fantastic 3-point shooter who will light it up in a second. She has no problem shooting from well beyond the arch, and her teammates know just when to hit her for the assist. She has a quick release and uses a high arch on her shot. As far as scoring inside, most of it comes from her work in transition.

Tyrone is a great defender, and she is often intercepting passes, which will then trigger the fastbreak. Whether off a steal or deflection, Tyrone will run out ahead and score the easy transition layup. She can finish with either hand and does not mind a little bit of contact when she goes up.

Again, [player_tooltip player_id='1090361' first='Maggie' last='Tyrone'] will not be #46 after the next rankings update. Regardless of her placement, there are plenty of reasons as to why she deserves a spot on the 2027 ranking.
