I've heard a lot about [player_tooltip player_id='884638' first='Stevie' last='Harley'] moving into this Freshman high school season of her's and I'm glad that her play-style lives up to the hype in several different ways. Harley, a 5'10 SF, is already making a lasting impact on her Bellueve West program. She is putting up big numbers in the scoring and rebounding categories, she is doing this all through her team's offensive system, and she is also showing that she can get creative in desperate times to help her team out in one way or another. Progression for these younger grades is always a major key to their process but I love what Harley has done so far.

Millard West came into Iowa and secured a much needed W in their contest at Johnston High School. This Millard West team is loaded with weapons and that's why they are favored to go back-to-back as State Champs this Winter. Someone new to the program but not the game of basketball is [player_tooltip player_id='777585' first='Jade' last='Lewis']. I've been a fan of Lewis ever since I saw her a few years back at our PGH Fall Showcase. She demonstrated that she is a multi-talented guard, that really will do whatever it takes to help her team win. She is a hard worker, she hustles on both ends never taking plays off, and she seems like a great teammates to compete with on the floor. I was impressed with what she did for the Wildcats last week and I'm sure that trend will continue on into 2025.

Coming off of an injury is never easy. To be normal or like your old self is usually impossible but [player_tooltip player_id='502337' first='Kennedy' last='Russell'] of PLVS is doing a great job of making her way back, slowly but surely. Russell would be another guard that I would consider a multi-talented prospect. She can play the 2 or 3 for you, depending on what you need, usually always yielding positive results in one way or another. She has a smart head on her shoulders and that leads to a lot of success in the long run of contests. PLVS has some big time names on their roster, so to stand out at all is impressive and Russell is doing that, game by game.

[player_tooltip player_id='889435' first='Macy' last='Schneider'] of Elkhorn South has taken the floor as a Freshman this Winter and stepped up in some majors ways to help her team. Schneider is a constant in the Scoring and Assist categories each night, while also being an able rebounder. Not to mention, she seems to play with some extra motivation and a chip on her shoulder. I'm not exactly sure where that is from but if she keeps this up, she is going to be someone we talk about out of the 2028 Class for seasons to come.

Skutt Catholic has yet again started off their Varsity season with a bang, winning a lot of their contests so far, including Nike TOC in AZ and a recent holiday tournament this past week. A big reason to their success is their presence in the middle and that is [player_tooltip player_id='305775' first='Kamryn' last='Kasner']. Kasner just recorded her 500th rebound of her Varsity career, showing everyone watching that she is a hard worker, a skilled rebounder off of a missed shot attempt, and that she never gives up on a play. A big key to rebounding is Will and Kasner has that. I'm not sure when Skutt's toughest test will be this Winter but on this pace, they are going to like how things play out the rest of this season.
