JW Holiday Invitational: Day 2 Ball Handlers Part II

The John Wall Holiday Invitational is going on now at William Peace University where schools from up and down the east coast are competing against one another. I've been able to catch day 2 of the action. Here is part 2 of the ball handlers that stood out to me at the event.    [player_tooltip player_id='621996' first='Kiara' last='Anderson'] does a nice job getting into the opening without the ball, and she facilitates plays well handling the point guard position. She had a nice step back move knocking down the three pointer. She attacks the basket well using a double pump to get the opening to make the dish to her teammates. Her aggressiveness on defense certainly slowed down her opponents from making plays and getting the ball up the court. She does a nice job communicating with her teammates repeating what her coach is trying to tell everyone.     [player_tooltip player_id='252865' first='Maya' last='McCorkle'] was a defensive mastermind getting steals to create stops right when her team needed some energy. She took the ball all the way to the rim herself, or she found her open teammate flashing to the block for the pass. She draws defenders toward her to create the open space for her teammates. She crashes the boards, too, extending plays to get some points off offensive rebounds. She sees the floor well being able to make the entry pass into her teammate on the block.     [player_tooltip player_id='772526' first='Jordan' last='Speller'] has a finesse with the ball that's difficult to defend. She can use pump fakes on quick drives to the basket to score at the rim. She knows how to make the quick pass before her defenders can even react making some unreal passes leaving the gym in awe. She does not stop moving on the court constantly attacking the basket, following shots, or being a nuisance on defense.     [player_tooltip player_id='569639' first='Jahriell' last='Murchison'] blew by her defenders finding the basket and finishing at the rim. She ran the floor well without the ball, too, scoring off the pass. She did well making adjustments to get the entry pass into her teammates. Her energy earned her the right to guard the best opposing player.
