Madi Clark has been RED HOT to start the season for the Mead Mavericks. Led by Clark, who is both Mead's leading scorer (18ppg) & rebounder (6rpg) the Mavericks boast an impressive 6-0 record. After having a great freshman season Madi has been way more aggressive offensively, highlighted by a 26 point outburst against Lutheran where she went 5/8 from the 3 point line. Mead has already proven they are one of the team's to beat in 5A in large part to Madi Clark's play.

[player_tooltip player_id='792683' first='Sienna' last='Williams'] is one of the top 2027 prospects in the state for a reason and she is reminding people why game after game to start this season. After losing her dynamic point guard, Savannah Wess, to a torn ACL she has had to carry even more of the load, but has answered the bell at every call. Through four games Sienna is pulling in a ridiculous 19 rebounds per game, dropping 22 points per game and blocking 4 shots per game! There are not many dominant post players anymore, but you better have a great plan to defend the post against Monarch or your team is in big trouble.

[player_tooltip player_id='631331' first='Makenzie' last='Jones'] is one of the main reasons that Mullen can be a legit contender to make the 5A final 4, or more, this season. After dropping down from 6A there is not a team in the state the Mustangs are afraid of. Jones is currently leading Mullen in points per game at 18, steals at 5 per game, and tied for assist leader at 3.5 per game. Defensively, Makenzie is a beast that can guard all 5 positions. In the past she has done a good job slowing down Colorado gatorade player of the year, [player_tooltip player_id='352917' first='Sienna' last='Betts'], but at times you see her defending athletic guards also. Look for Mullen to keep gaining momentum as this season progresses.

[player_tooltip player_id='793048' first='Santana' last='Sabus'] has consistently been a dominant force for Ralston Valley. In the "Best of the Nest Tournament", hosted by Horizon, the Mustangs were in a tight battle at the half against a determined Ft. Collins squad. Sabus came out in the third quarter on a personal mission, scoring 9 points in the period en route to her game high 35 in the contest. That game is a microcosm of how dominant Santana has been this season. Through the Mustangs first five contests she leads the team in scoring (24ppg), rebounding (11rpg) and steals 3spg. With this type of production from their star, Ralston Valley can compete with anyone in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='735192' first='Kiarra' last='Spellman'] & her sister [player_tooltip player_id='471050' first='Kennedy' last='Spellman'] have adjusted the balance of power in the salty Continental League with their incredible start to this season for Mountain Vista. Kiarra, just a sophomore, is second on the team (to her sister) in scoring at 19ppg but leads the team in both steals per game (5) and assists per game (4). Defensively, the Golden Eagles love to fly around and create havoc. Kiarra fits perfectly into that scheme and is a big reason why Mountain Vista has had an incredible start to this season.
