2027 Rankings: 5 Stock Risers

Check out some big-time stock-risers from the 2027 class who play beyond their years and contribute to winning basketball. They've been key players on some teams with big aspirations and represent a pretty deep and talented sophomore class.    Hull is incredibly versatile and skilled as a 6-foot guard. She can shoot the three, put it on the deck and attack the hoop, she plays with strength inside, rebounds at a high rate, and can defend multiple positions. She's one of the key players on a highly talented Davis squad and showed how talented she is in their recent matchup with Clackamas. She matched up against one of the top players in the nation in Jazzy Davidson and was really effective across the board. She's a big reason why Davis is one of the favorites in the 4A this season.     Wright has been on a tear this season, leading Prosser to a 14-2 record, and has proven they can play with the best in the state. She's a sharpshooter from deep who will take advantage of any space or rhythm she's allowed out there. In a matchup with Grandview earlier this month, she dropped in seven 3s just in the first half. She's also a player you can rely on to make good reads to get teammates involved, whether that's finding the key pass herself or setting up teammates to make an extra pass for a bucket.     Jack is a lefty shooter who can drain shots from outside and plays a big role behind the arc for Seattle Prep. She knows what she brings to the floor and is keen to find space and spot up in the half court as well as in transition, but she's also a pretty well-rounded player who makes good decisions, doesn't just look to jack up shots, and can contribute on the boards. She's also shown the presence to shot fake closeouts, get to space and draw up extra defenders to open up lanes for teammates to attack.     Union is right up there with the top teams in the 4A, losing just two games on the year by a combined three points to two of the other top teams in the class (Davis, Camas). Larry is a pretty dynamic guard who can help score the rock and set up teammates, shows some good creativity when attacking the paint and finding passes on the go, and has some toughness that translates to hustle rebounds.     Davis has a lot of girls to keep track of who can really play, and Gasseling might be the most unheralded player who just gets it done. She's a strong post who displays some excellent work around the paint but also has the stroke to capitalize at the line and hit some midrange shots. She's great at making tough catches in traffic, works her tail off on the glass, and anticipates rebounding opportunities by working for good position and having the strength to hold it.
