Averi has been a game changer for Riverview all season with multiple 20+ point performances including a dominant 27-point performance during a win against Airport last week. Her strong presence in the low post, fierce rebounding, and effective passing off the dribble helped the Pirates compete against SMCC. Averi pins defenders using a wide, strong seal, which makes entry passes easier for her teammates. She cut to the block, sealed her defender, and used an excellent forward pivot to convert a contested floater in the paint. She won physical battles for multiple offensive boards and kicked the ball to open shooters when the defense committed to her drives. Averi scored with her left hand off two feet and beat the defense with her dribble in transition for a layup. She tied the team lead with 9 points.

Caiya is a shifty guard with a burst off the dribble and active hands defensively. She lifted to open space on the perimeter and buried a wing 3 off the catch. Caiya used a show-fake on the perimeter to commit her defender to the shot, then attacked downhill to score layups. She swiped a game-high eight steals and tied the team high with 9 points. One of her best plays was a tough drive-by contested floater off two feet.

Adela was magnificent in her first game against Riverview, leading all scorers with 22 points; she had another great game in their second meeting. Adela drove baseline and used a pro-hop move to score a layup off the glass. She swiped the ball away and pushed the ball quickly in transition for an and-one layup. Adela drained two corner 3s, finished with her left hand off two feet, and gave her team extra scoring chances with her determined offensive rebounding. Adela led the Kestrels with 17 points with 9 rebounds and 3 steals.

Brooke drove hard to the basket for layups and forced many fouls in the process. She knocked down free throws efficiently, hitting six from the charity stripe. Brooke split defenders with a crossover and finished the left-handed layup. She buried a deep wing 3 and dropped in a soft floater off the dribble. Brooke secured rebounds and poured in 13 points for the Kestrels against Riverview.

Plays that help the team win and be successful aren't always glamorous. Natalie made many winning plays for SMCC against Riverview. She set strong, legal screens to give teammates open cuts and drives to the basket. Natalie battled for rebounds and led the team with 12. She stepped up on a perimeter shooter to block a shot and emphatically swatted a layup attempt in the paint. Natalie denied entry passes into the low post and grabbed three steals. She finished a drop-step layup, knocked down two free throws, and was a difference-maker for the Kestrels.
