To take the Varsity floor and play important minutes is noteworthy. No matter which way or how you put it. In this piece we talk about five prospects out of Nebraska, who have recorded several Varsity minutes this Winter in their attempts to help their team's become successful. Each player is someone that has recorded some pretty intense numbers thus far as well. So now it's all about finishing things off right and closing out the season strong before the Playoffs come around.

If you take a look at the stats from this Varsity season so far, there is no one that is averaging more PPG in her team's contest than SG - [player_tooltip player_id='766561' first='Zaili' last='Benish'] of Leyton High School. Benish is putting up right over 30.5 PPG at this moment in time, while also helping her team to an overall positive record. Coming off of a Volleyball season to remember, Benish is using that momentum to put together one incredible season in the numbers department. A season that would go down in the history books if she continues on this past for the rest of her Senior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='766582' first='Tacey' last='From'] might compete for a smaller school on the West side of the state but that doesn't change the fact that she is always in the right place, at the right time. There is something to be said for prospects like this. They work hard and because of it things just happen to work other throughout a contest. At this point in the year, From leads the entire state of Nebraska in SPG, no matter the Class or age level. She is recording just under 9 Steals Per Game, showing her domination on that side of things. I do know that From has received some college interest as of late as well. If she is willing, there are a few schools who will be offering her over these next few months, as long as she can get on campus to take some official visits.

[player_tooltip player_id='1131125' first='Kailey' last='Patzel'] is someone that we have not had the chance to mention until this point but with how well she is doing this Senior season, that's all about to change. Patzel, a 5'10 C/PF, is her high school team's heart and soul in the middle of the floor. To give you an idea, she is averaging a state high 15 RPG, all while only being 5'10. That is taller than the majority but at 5'10, you still have to have heart and dedication to mix it up in the lane. That's what we have here. Someone with grit, good size and stature, and a ton of dedication to this sport. When you add all of those three things together, you get a solid prospect and that's what we have here.

In the past we have spoken about McCool Junction because of their past star, McKenna Yates, who is now at Hasting for her collegiate career. Someone else that I have noticed this Winter, that has come on strong is 2026 - [player_tooltip player_id='758866' first='Claire' last='Brugger']. Brugger is averaging just under 10 RPG for her group, while also grabbing some boards and steals in the meantime on both ends. At the size of 5'8, this isn't the tallest prospect but she holds her own. She makes great choices with the ball in her hands and because of that, she has seen a lot of success up until this point in her career.

As we moved into this Varsity season a few months ago, we mentioned [player_tooltip player_id='882863' first='Payton' last='Dolliver'] and how she might be a prospect to watch out for over her four years at Malcolm High School. Well, exactly what we thought would happen, is happening. Dolliver is starting as a Freshman, putting up big and meaningful numbers in her team's ball games. Dolliver brings a quick first step, an elite scoring ability, and a ton of heart into whatever she is doing. That's all been on full display thus far and I don't expect it to slow down anytime soon.
