<p>The Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Player of the Week Award is given to one student-athlete among many deserving candidates who demonstrates excellence during a week of their team's competition. The winner contributes to their team's success in multiple statistical categories to help her team compete to their best potential. Several players were deserving of recognition, but only one can be selected for Player of the Week. Those not chosen as Player of the Week receive recognition as Player of the Week Honorable Mention. Here are the girls who had a magnificent fourth week of the season and it's time to celebrate their accomplishments!</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Averie surpassed 1,000 points last week and now has 1,044 points in her career. She scored 32 points with an eye-popping 18 steals in a 57-6 win against Mt. Morris. In two games, Averie posted 53 points, 23 steals, 13 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocks. Averie is averaging 28.9 points, 8.9 steals, 8.4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1.1 blocks per game. Averie earned Michigan's Dec. 22nd-28th Player of the Week Award by dominating in multiple categories and reaching an esteemed scoring milestone. Genesee went 1-1 last week and is 5-2 to start the season.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Kenna came into the season as our number one prospect and she is making believers out of opponents week-to-week. Lumen Christi is 4-2 with a string of wins against competitive teams and both losses against last season's CHSL Bishop finalists. Kenna produced 27 points, 7 rebounds, 6 steals, and 5 assists, sinking 3 triples during a 57-35 victory against Lake Leelanau St. Mary's last week. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Charlotte reached the 1,000 point summit last week during a win against Mercy, becoming the first player in program history to do so. Charlotte posted 17 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals in the game. She holds school records in multiple categories: points (1,001), 3-pointers made (153), assists (340), and steals (197) as of Dec. 23rd. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Maddy became the fourth player in program history to reach the 1,000 point summit, producing 18 points, 5 assists, 6 steals, 5 rebounds, and 2 blocks against West Bloomfield. One of her memorable moments from this season came when she buried a deep wing 3 game winner off the dribble against PHN to seal the win for GPS.</p>
