MICHIGAN PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jan. 5th-11th

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Player of the Week Award is given to one student-athlete among many deserving candidates who demonstrates excellence during a week of their team's competition. The winner contributes to their team's success in multiple statistical categories to help her team compete to their best potential. Several players were deserving of recognition, but only one can be selected for Player of the Week. Those not chosen as Player of the Week received recognition as Player of the Week Honorable Mention. On Saturday, she scored 12 of her 19 points in the 4th quarter and added 5 steals on the day. Lilly finished the week with 58 points in 3 games, two of which were against ranked opponents. She started the week with 14 points and 9 rebounds in a win against Okemos, added 21 points in a win against East Lansing, and finished the week with a spirited 20 points on Saturday against West Catholic. Jayla scored 40 points in two wins for Heritage last week, adding 13 rebounds, and 9 steals.
