Senior Stock Risers

After releasing the 2025 rankings update on Monday, we have to look at a few stock risers. We should also have some more updated content as the week goes on.    The Sheboygan native is among the top lead guards remaining in her class. Few kids play with as much creativity as Verhagen, which led to success for the Crusaders in the past three seasons. Verhagen can score from all three levels, create for others, and does a solid job keeping her team's offense organized. The Crusader is currently unsigned but has drawn interest from regional programs.      Quietly, The Delavan-Darien wing has put together an excellent resume as a Comet. She's been a Player of the Year caliber kid the past few seasons in the Rock Valley and has been among the top scorers in the state since the Comets moved out of the Southern Lakes. The 5'10 wing has scored with volume the past few seasons, even having some of the highest single-game tallies in the past season and a half. Stallings is a multi-sport athlete who's excelled on the track and made the state meet this past Spring. Stallings will play basketball and run track at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside at the NCAA D2 level in the GLIAC.      Leonard has been a crucial aspect of Laconia's run these last three seasons. Her ability to bend defenses by getting by her initial defender opens the floor for her teammates to operate in space. She's an excellent distributor. In the games Laconia has lost this season against Homestead, she left with an injury and fouled out of the KML game. It's jaw-dropping how different their offense runs. Leonard makes things easier on the people around her, and she's a solid perimeter defender. The Spartan will head south and continue her career at the NCAA D2 level at Roosevelt University in the GLIAC.      Watching [player_tooltip player_id='448303' first='Grace' last='Zortman'] move away from the ball is among the most entertaining things to watch at a Homestead game. Zortaman plays with reckless abandon that can lead to fouls, but it also leads to multiple extra possessions per game. Her effort wins games whether it shows up in the box score or not, and I've always appreciated how hard she plays and how comfortable she is playing that role. Zortman is not committed anywhere and may not want to play at the next level, but she's been one of my favorite kids to watch in that class.
