Lexie is quietly putting together an impressive freshman campaign, averaging 17.2 points per game. She is known to put up eye-popping offensive numbers, but she is also solid on defense, and a very unselfish player who is willing to pass the ball and get her teammates involved. Breathitt County is on a 5-game winning streak and Lexie has carried the scoring load through this stretch dropping 20 points or more in four of the five games. (Featured Image)

Perry County Central is 12-5 on the season and 6-0 in region play and are currently one of the top teams in the 14th region. Freshman center [player_tooltip player_id='1139678' first='Jacklynn' last='Amis'] has been the anchor in the interior for the Lady Commodores, averaging 9.1 points a game and leads the team in rebounds with 8.4. Jacklynn scores at a high percentage at the rim, cleans the glass, and her presence in the paint and shot blocking ability makes ball handlers think twice before bringing it inside. This team won 7 games straight before losing to a very good and very well-coached Johnson Central team yesterday.

[player_tooltip player_id='747663' first='Macey' last='Brown'] has been spectacular in her sophomore season. The star center is putting up 14.1 points a game and currently leads the state in rebounds with 14.6. Macey reached 1000 points and 1000 career rebounds last month and she had a big-time performance in week 5 against Williamsburg, where she finished with 12 points, 15 rebounds,10 assists, and 7 blocks. Macey is a force down low and she dominates the paint on both ends of the floor.

Multi-faceted combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='973205' first='Maddi' last='Frohnapfel'] is averaging 16 points and 5 rebounds in 11 games played. She has several stat-stuffing performances, like 26 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals against Estill County along with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists against Jackson County to name a few. Maddi is a special player and her ability to score, rebound, defend, and make plays for others will be key for the Lady Bulldogs entering the halfway point of their season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1049640' first='Natalie' last='Reed'] has emerged in her freshman season for Lee County. She is putting up 9.7 points a game and is in the top 20 in rebounds in the state with 11.5 and has over 500 in her career. Natalie does damage inside offensively, and her workhorse mentality on the boards provides plenty of second chance scoring opportunities for her team. I see big things ahead for her and she is one to track from here on out.
