2024-25 Miss Tennessee 3A Basketball Finalists Revealed

I can already tell you that this classification has some true dynamic ballplayers on this level who get the job done. The span of talent in this class is throughout the state, however, when you ball at this level, you better have your A game because there are girls in this classification that are really solid.   3A member schools aren't the largest, but they are pretty close. Within this class, you have a pretty good mix of various types of basketball. You have that city style, where you get the shiftiness. You have the lunch pail type, the girls who get it done using their brute strength. Of course, you have girls who just fill it up, knocking down 3s and just competing until there is nothing left in the tank. Just know that 3A girls are pretty solid and they make it fun to watch the game of basketball.   As you all know coaches and media members from around the state voted and nominated the three top players in this classification. Wish I was one of them, but sorry I'm not. Unfortunately, we won't know the winners for a few weeks as a committee of sports writers from across the state come together and vote. There will be a ceremony at MTSU's Tucker Theatre on March 18th, announcing the winners of this year's awards. That's where we will find out who will be Miss Tennessee.   Enough of me yapping, without further ado, here are the 2024-25 Miss Tennessee finalists from the 3A classification.    The “Basketball Queen” is a 6ft wing who brings passion and love for the game into every contest. Here is another comparison, she's like the female Kevin Garnett, bringing that boldness of energy into the fold. She can score it on all 3-levels, but it's the other things such as rebounding and blocking shots that ignite the crowd and gives her team a spark to make a run. She's a Murray State signee who will take her talents up north. This kid has already won one state title but is looking to add another piece of hardware to the school's collection.     Hollywood is another dynamic scoring guard who knows how to fill it up. This kid is super tough and when the ball is in her hands, it's about to be a highlight reel. She can get downhill and score it with ease, utilizing her shiftiness to create scoring opportunities. She can pull it from 3 and even knock down mid-range jumpers. She thrives in the transition game where she gets a lot of her points. Her size creates problems. Look for this University of Cincinnati signee to finish out the season strong prior to heading to Queen City of Ohio.     Is another solid MTSU Lady Blue Raider signee that can do work on both ends of the floor. She's a gym rat who works on her craft religiously. A game-changer who can score the rock in multiple ways, facilitate and run an offense efficiently, and sit down and guard to neutralize her opponents. Her body frame creates havoc as her length poses problems for smaller guards. She's a leader, a winner, someone who hustles on each and every possession. Super talented kid who is very effective at everything she does.    Here are a few young ladies who just missed the cut from being nominated for this award. Their accomplishments shouldn't go unnoticed. They've had a phenomenal year and have accomplished so much throughout the year. Their efforts are worth mentioning as they will be future stars in this state for years to come.    Had a breakout season for sure. This kid was getting buckets left and right, defying odds along the way. Talk about someone who was elusive and playing with such confidence, this young lady was that plus a lot more. A multi-level scoring threat who dominated on both sides of the ball. Her defense led to easy offensive points, however in the half-court set, she could create and get a bucket. Her scoring stats always had her down in the twenties every time I looked. This kid is box office material and she will look to take her game to even more heights next season.     She is just a ballplayer who elevates those around her. She's a gamer who comes alive when it's game time. A selfless leader who can score, make timely assists, rebound, defend, and just impact the game in more ways than one. She is an all-around player who brings heart and passion to the hardwood. Her game speaks volumes as she continues to get better each and every year. She doesn't dodge the smoke and is willing to compete with anyone, anywhere. Super talented kid who is going to have a lot of coaches in her DMs pretty soon.     Impressive. A very talented individual who plays the game the right way. Fundamentally sound, this kid just goes to work and gets after it. She can score both along the arc and inside the painted area. She takes care of the boards, crashing them on both ends of the floor. She makes the right passes and knows how to defend without fouling. A heady ballplayer who is the ultimate teammate. She has had a stellar career thus far and is a true leader on the hardwood and in the community. Look for her to shine bright at the next level at Trevecca.
