Class A Region 3 - State Qualifier Prediction

SOUTH PRAIRE-MAX   South Prairie-Max is my pick to win the Class A title this season. They have a team that has experience at the state tournament and two girls who should be All-State players.    Rylee is as good of guard as there is in the state. She is very difficult to keep in front defensively because of how skilled she is with the ball and how twitchy and athletic she is. She is an outstanding shooter which adds to her offensive firepower. She is a very good defender as well, deflecting many passes and she is also willing to step in as a secondary defender and take a charge.     Maycie is an outstanding guard and does a lot of things to make South Prairie's offense so hard to guard. She is a great ball handler and can make great reads against opposing defenses. She is a great cutter in the half-court and can make the outside shot. She has good pace with the ball when she uses ball screens.     Skotti is another scorer that is hard to contain. She is a terrific outside shooter and can shoot it from deep behind the three-point line. She is a tall guard and super athletic. She uses her athleticism to beat people up the floor in transition and uses her height to finish around the rim. She plays really hard and is a good leader on the floor.     Mya is a great piece to have on the floor. She is a tough defender who picks up the ball right at half-court and is able to keep the ball in front of her. She is a good outside shooter and has her hands and feet set for drive and kick opportunities. She is long and athletic and will be a really good high school player.     Azjiah is a quality forward and great role player. She is a creative finisher around the rim and is able to make reverse layups. She has a great Eurostep with great change of speed and direction. She is able to compete and defend girls that are bigger than her. She uses her strength well and can battle for rebounds.    TURTLE MOUNTAIN   Turtle Mountain is a long and athletic team. They have multiple scoring options and a couple of girls who will be voted All-Region this season. They are a great rebounding team and play with great pace.    Maddison is a quality guard and key contributor. She is a good sized guard at 5'8 and is a very good three point shooter. She is shooting just under 40% from behind the arc. She moves well and is always in a good defensive stance. She runs the floor hard and does a good job of embracing her role.     Irelei is one of the only underclassman on the team and has worked her way into a starting role. She is a long post and the lefty is another player for Turtle Mountain who is tough on the offensive glass. She puts pressure on the other team with her great effort. She is a capable scorer, averaging just under ten points per game.     Aubree is a scoring machine and she will have to play well in order for Turtle Mountain to come out of Region 3. She is averaging about 20 points per game and is a good outside shooter. She is able to handle the ball and get to her spots for her shots. She is a confident player and should be an All-Region selection this season.     Akealyes is a good athlete and competitor. She is a solid defender and uses her arms well in walling off opponents on their shots near the basket. She closes out well which allows her to keep her girl in front of her defensively. She is a worker near the rim, battling for offensive rebounding opportunities. Akealyes has a great motor and plays with passion on the floor.     Emberlyn is an All-Region caliber player and is very talented. She uses her body extremely well. She is a talented post player who can seal and duck in. She is a quality free-throw shooter and can play the hi-lo offense. The best part of her game is her relentless effort on the offensive glass. She keeps many possessions alive due to her offensive rebounding effort.    Bottineau is another talented team who could certainly come out of Region 3. They have one of the best players in the State in [player_tooltip player_id='380222' first='Kyra' last='Beckman'] and your team always has a chance with a player like her.
