Elite Freshman Deep into the Playoffs

The Freshman below were expected to be good and they delivered. From Power 5 offers to District players of the year, the Freshman on this listen are some of the best players in the State in any class. In this article, we hilight the Freshman who have helped take their teams to to the final 16 or final eight l. Deal has a combination of power, speed and quickness that gives defenses fits. Deal is a three level scorer who can take it to the rim with authority, Maneuver around the paint and pull up for the short jumper or shoot the three ball off the catch or dribble. She also has the ability to handle the ball in transition. At the PGH Florida Expo, she was one of the top players in the building. At the Thanksgiving Inside Exposure tournament, she put the state on notice with a strong performance. She has been balling ever since. The young guard has received several Power 5 offers already and only a Freshman. Clardy puts pressure on a defense and has the ability to score from anywhere on the court. She can shoot the three and has the ability to pull-up in the paint and connect on the floaters and midrange shots. Clardy is great at working her way into the paint and scoring. Clardy does a great job in transition and is exciting and effective in the open court. Thomas turned heads with an unbelievable performance, especially in the shooting department. Thomas finished the season this week with a 18.6 points per game. Thomas can pull up at anytime and let it fly and she can shoot it with great efficiency from behind the arc. Pinnock averages 15. 6 points per game and leads her team in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks. Again- as a Freshman. Pinnock loves to attack the rim and does so from the offense and also in transition. The young guard is versatile and has great size. She could play 3 to 4 positions on a team of talented players. Pinnock has already made a name for herself. The power forward caught my attention at the FABC showcase in June and she has continued her great play. Oyedeji plays with a motor that won't quit. She can defend out in space on the perimeter and can mix it up on the inside. Offensively, she can shoot from the outside and can also muscle her way on the inside. The power forward can also run the floor and score in transition.
