Two weeks remain in the prep basketball regular season.

Most teams have between three and four games left to play.

Here is a look at four ranked prospects on Class 1A DI teams fighting for top seeds in sub-state play, and with hopes of qualifying for the state tournament in Dodge City.

[player_tooltip player_id='918827' first='Allie' last='Reed'], 5'8”, PG, South Gray, ‘25

The South Gray Rebels own a record of 17-1 and project to be the No. 1 Seed in the Class 1A DI Kiowa County Region. Reed is ranked No. 184 in the Kansas Class of 2025. She is second on the Rebels in scoring with an average of 11.3 points per game. She is filling up her stat sheet with 5.8 rebounds, 3.8 steals, and three assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='959945' first='Kaylea' last='Robinson'], 5'8”, PF, Pretty Prairie, ‘25

Robinson is the Buffaloes' leading scorer as a senior. She is averaging 12.6 points per game. She averaged 15.8 points as a junior. She has made 15 three-point field goals this season and is shooting 56 percent from the free-throw line. Pretty Prairie has a record of 11-7 and is fighting for a top-eight seed in the Kiowa County Region. They are tied with Norwich and trail Meade by half a game.

[player_tooltip player_id='621265' first='Sevy' last='Wurtz'], 5'6”, PG, Clifton-Clyde, ‘26

Wurtz might be one of the most underrated athletes in Kansas. She is scoring an impressive 23.8 points per game as a junior. She averaged 13.1 points per game as a freshman and 18 points per game as a sophomore. She is grabbing 6.4 rebounds and 4.6 steals per contest. Wurtz should be a major stock riser during the next sets of '26 rankings as she is now under-ranked at No. 77 overall. Clifton-Clyde has a record of 14-4 and is positioned to lock down a top-four seed in the Centralia Region.

[player_tooltip player_id='779244' first='Camden' last='Franklin'], 5'6”, CG, Rawlins County, ‘27

Rawlins County is set to host a Class 1A DI Region. The Buffaloes have two players averaging double-digit scoring totals. Franklin leads the team in averaging 15.3 points per contest. Fours are wild on her stat line as she is averaging 4.9 steals, 4.7 rebounds, and four assists during her sophomore season. Franklin is currently ranked No. 91 overall in the Kansas Class of 2027.

[player_tooltip player_id='898167' first='Braelyn' last='Blackwill'], 5'5”, SG, Quinter, ‘28

Quinter's leading scorer is freshman Blackwill. I have seen her compete for her club teams and she is an up-and-comer out west. She is scoring 15.1 points for the Bulldogs. She is filling up her freshman stat line with averages of 6.4 rebounds, 4.3 steals, and 2.7 assists. Quinter (15-3) is currently the No. 1 Seed in the Class 1A DI Rawlins County Region. Blackwill is presently ranked No. 3 overall in the Prep Girls Hoops Kansas Class of 2028 rankings.
