We have to give credit to the Century defense in this one. The Patriots were undersized but the pressure they put on the ball and the consistent backside help gave [program_tooltip program_id='712656' first='Mandan' last=''] a ton of trouble. Century forced 22 turnovers and won by 23 points. I did not expect that much of a lopsided victory against the #3 ranked Braves.

Abby was the best player on the floor Friday night. She dominated the game on both ends. She spent most of the night on Bugbee and Johnson, [program_tooltip program_id='712656' first='Mandan' last='']'s twin towers. Fosland dominated the offensive side of the court. She scored the rock from all three levels and was not afraid to attack [program_tooltip program_id='712656' first='Mandan' last='']'s length. Fosland scored by getting to the basket and she displayed a nice pull-up jumper. Abby was effective from deep, she was 2/3 from behind the arc. She also was a facilitator for the Pats all night long, big plays were made by [player_tooltip player_id='641207' first='Abby' last='Fosland']! 18 points, 12 rebounds 7, assists, 5 steals, and was an efficient 8/11 from the field.

[player_tooltip player_id='1056546' first='Olivia' last='Klimpel'] (2027) |5'10 F|

Much like Fosland, she spent her night defending the [program_tooltip program_id='712656' first='Mandan' last=''] bigs. On offense, Olivia was able to take the bigger defenders out and get to the rim. She displayed a quality mid-range jumper a few times from the short corner. Klimpel had a great freshman year and has not played to her standard in a couple of games this season. If the Pats can get this type of production from Klimpel for the rest of the season, Century is very scary! 15 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, 6/8 from the field.

[player_tooltip player_id='398151' first='Zoie' last='Austin'] (2025) |5'8 G|

Austin is one of the best players in the state at getting downhill into the paint and she showed that again Friday. Zoie is your do-everything player. She plays with a pace and flow that is unmatched. Nothing seems to bother her. Against [program_tooltip program_id='712656' first='Mandan' last=''], Zoie was consistently getting into the lane and creating for her teammates. If hockey assists were tracked she would have had 10+. Austin displayed a nice midrange fadeaway over bigger defenders from the elbow on 2 occasions. She was at her best getting the ball in transition and getting downhill. Austin ended with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals and 2 blocks.

GreyBull was coming off nose surgery from earlier in the week. Ziah threw a mask on and went out and played hard. She was not scared or hesitant at all. Ziah was very efficient getting to the rim Friday. She was 4 of 5 inside the 3-point arc on the night. Greybull displayed a sweet middy off the dribble in the first half. She also caught a defender going under a ball screen to hit a pretty high arching 3. Ziah finished the night with 13 points and 7 boards.

The NDSU commit was held in check on the offensive side for 3 points. However, she was very productive on the glass. 12 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1/4 FG's.
