Headline Players in the 2027 Rankings

We have discussed players who have climbed up in the rankings and players who have been under the radar. We switch gears in this article as we talk about players that you often hear about. In this article we look at the reasons these players stay in the headlines.    [player_tooltip player_id='738971' first='Gabi' last='Iturralde'] has made the headlines all season long and the St John county media knows her well. Iturralde has improved from her Freshman campaign and that one was about as good as it gets. Iturralde checks the boxes in all three phases of the game. Defense - she is a hawk on the floor and plays great on the ball defense and waits in the shadows to steal passes out the passing lane. Iturralde has great anticipation and has a high IQ. She understands ball movement and instinctively intercepts passes as a result. Offense- Iturralde can get to the rim going left and right and is a crafty finisher. She can shoot the three and has really improved with her accuracy. The young guard presently shoots at a 45 percent rate. Transition- she has great court vision and makes a lot of vertical passes to teammates for layups. Teammates know she will find them if they are open. Iturralde will also mix it up on rebounds as well. She is a complete player and is often in the Headlines.     [player_tooltip player_id='515069' first='Erynn' last='Moffett'] is used to the headlines in Brevard county. She is one of the top athletes in the entire county. Moffett burst on the scenes last season and was a player who had the coaches and teammates respect from the onset. Moffett is a beast anywhere close to the basket. She can get to the rim and score the basket, and she can score down on the blocks. Moffett is a prime time defender who can cover multiple positions on the floor - in the paint and on the perimeter. Moffett is a talented player and she will continue to make a push for that top spot.         [player_tooltip player_id='400809' first='Esa' last='Brenneman'] is another Sophomore who has some serious game and athleticism. Brennemann is a two sport star in Basketball and Lacrosse. She runs the show at the point guard position and does a good job of getting her team into their offense. She can also score the ball from multiple levels. She has knocked down 44 threes for the season and averages 10.7 points per game. Brennemann thrives in the open court utilizing her speed and athleticism. She has the ability to finish on the break and also blow by defenders for the layup, pull-up, and floater. Brennemann does well on the defensive end. She can cover the opponent's top guard. She has the speed and athleticism to match some of the most elite guards in the State.     Ya' Zuri Hollie is an under the radar player who has the potential to be dominant in the 2027 class. Hollie has a lot of talent and do a lot of things well in the basketball court. Hollie can score from behind the arc, get to the rim, and bang the boards and get easy put-backs. Hollie loves attacking the rim and does so with a lot of power. She can play power forward as well as the shooting guard position. Hollie is another Headliner player and gets a lot of press over in Columbia county.      [player_tooltip player_id='743520' first='Kimora' last='Green'] is another Headliner in the 2027 rankings. Green definitely was one of rhe most impressive players at the most recent Expo. Her defensive tenacity and hustle on the floor were unmatched. Green has athleticism that literally jumps off the court. She has that quick body twitch and can elevate from a standing position. She rebounds well from the guard position and gets a lot of put-back opportunities. Greens stock will continue to rise and she will continue to make the headlines with her play.
