She can help, recover, switch, and still beat you to the spot. She disrupts actions and turns the opponent's possessions into chaos. When Grey De Sanders is on the floor she erases advantages with speed and anticipation. She is also a blur in the transition game and a nightmare for her match-ups.     Cami Walters is one of the top help-side defenders on the First Coast. Walters built her reputation as a shot blocker from her very first varsity game as a freshman and has continued the block party throughout her high school career. Her timing in transition is very good. In transition, she runs the floor and scores with floaters and runners, and an occasional three. Defensively, she is a lane-protector and a nightmare for the opponent. Walker has developed into one of the top defenders in the city and in the 2026 class. She cuts off driving lanes, plays passing lanes, and blocks shots from the guard position. One AAU game comes to mind when she had multiple three-point blocks in a single game and preserving the W. She never gives up on a play, and transition defense is where she becomes a beast. Her college commitment speaks to overall upside, and her specialty is lock-down defense. Walker is the guard who makes others rethink attacking the basket. She cuts off driving angles, plays physical at the point of attack, and carries the chip every good defender needs. Merritt stops the ball, pressures the handler, and make every trip uncomfortable. Simply put, Merritt is a nightmare on the defensive end.
