On Friday night, the match-ups were for all the marbles. The winner of these games earned a trip to the Final Four in Lakeland in their respective classes. Players came out strong and there was some intense basketball action from Jacksonville to Sarasota, Gainesville to Miami, etc. When it was all said and done, half the teams had come up short and the other half had "punched their tickets" to Lakeland to compete for a State Championship. Many of the winning teams gathered under the basket and cut down the nets for the trophy case. In this article, we look at some of the top performers on "Net Cutting" Friday.

[player_tooltip player_id='387293' first='Jariyah' last='Jordan'] was very good on "Net Cutting" Friday and will be heading to Lakeland on the heels of a very impressive performance in the Region Finals. Jordan did a good job of handling the ball against full-court man-to-man defense. Her ability to handle the ball helped her guards get out of tough situations and also allowed her to play on the perimeter, giving Henry and company room to operate. Jordan was also a beast on the boards and on the defensive end. Her ability to move allowed her to cover all positions on the floor and she was able to switch on man-to-man defense and keep the ball handlers from getting to the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='829395' first='Genesis' last='Henry'] definitely deserved to cut the nets down. She took on the responsibility of scoring the ball or getting to the rim and making the right play to her teammates. Henry did just that. Points were hard to come by, but Henry stuck to the game plan and made some key buckets down the stretch. Henry was also very productive from the free-throw line in the game's final possessions. She was also very effective on defense and her ability to cover any opponent on the court allowed her to switch on screens. Henry came to play and deserved to cut down two loops on the nets.

[player_tooltip player_id='1201802' first='Jannell' last='Houston'] was very impressive during the Regional Finals. She has a lot of athleticism and has a lot of natural basketball talent. She has that game that allows her to naturally counter what the defense is doing. She has a lot of scoring moves and can get downhill in a hurry and get to the rim. Houston showcased an ability to shoot the mid-range as well as the three-point shot, all while playing in the flow of the offense. Houston was also good at drawing the foul and getting to the free-throw line. Houston wasn't always about herself. She was very unselfish with the ball and always got the ball to her teammates when they had an open shot. Houston was equally impressive on the defensive end. Her ability to play the passing lanes and outright take the ball away from the ball handler. Houston was an all-around baller and deserved to cut down a few strings on Net Cutting Friday.

[player_tooltip player_id='1201829' first='Sawsan' last='Kamara'] came out firing on all cylinders and knocked down at least threes in the first half and added a few mid-range jumpers en route to a trip to the Final Four in Lakeland. Kamara came into the contest averaging 14 points per game, made 77 threes at a 44 percent rate, and attempted 110 free throws in 31 games. Kamara did a good job of competing on both ends of the floor and was a tone-setter with her deadly three-point shooting. Someone save a string for Kamara to cut. She was a top performer on "Net Cutting" Friday.
