1A TSSAA All-State Tournament Team Named!

Now that Championship Saturday is in the books, our 2024-25 season comes to an end. We saw first-time state winners, 3-peat winners, and kids who broke onto the scene with their stellar performances. This season goes down as another successful one filled with so many stories. Though one chapter for this year closes, another one will begin soon.   We now take a look at each classification and highlight the ones that stood out. These young ladies were named the All-tournament team based on their performance at the state tournament. We will start with 1A and finish with an All-Tournament Prep Girls hoops team.   Without further ado, here is the all-tournament team from the 1A classification.    Was named tournament MVP based on her performance. She shot onto the scene as she led her ball club to winning state. Out of 3 games, she totaled 49 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 5 steals, and 2 blocks. She was locked in as she was red hot from the field. She was a threat from all over the place, however her attacking style of play couldn't be slowed down as she found the bottom of the net consistently. Look for her to continue on this trajectory and rise up the charts.     Tough scoring guard who can fill in up. No matter if it's inside or out, she consistently finds the bottom of the net. She can create for herself off the bounce, or play off the ball and come off screens. She is solid on both ends of the floor. A heady ball player who is one of the top players in her class.     This kid is a self-made ball player who has worked her tail off. A multi-level scoring threat who has such a pretty release. When her team needed a bucket, her number was called to deliver. She's solid on the defensive end as well, as her length posed as a threat to many. An awesome kid who had a stellar career on Tennessee hardwoods.     This talented ball player could play the 1-3 positions. When she was facilitating the rock, she was spotting up on the arc and letting it fly. She's a selfless ballplayer who picks her spots to exploit. Known more as a shooter, she wouldn't hesitate to attack to kick/ dump to an open teammate or finish off two. She had a great sophomore season and she will look to take this year's performance and build from there. A great kid with a bright future.     Solid power forward who is active on both ends of the floor. She prides herself on the defensive end where she uses her length to pose as a threat. She contributes on the boards, blocks shots, and gets steals and deflections. Her ability to create extra possessions for her ball clubs leads to transitional buckets. Offensively she is solid, and can step out past the arc, however makes her money in the painted area and the mid-range. A solid kid who is on an upward trajectory.     She hosted a coming out party as she put on a clinic at the state tournament. In every phase of the game, she excelled while turning the crowd into believers. From knocking down shots from 3 to creating off the bounce, she was phenomenal as she answered the call time and time again. Look for her to build upon this stellar body of performances and become one of the players in her class. Keep an eye on this up-and-coming talent.     Heady ball player who plays with a lot of confidence. Plays with relentless energy and poise, and she was solid on the offensive end as she scored at a high clip. Creating with the ball in her hand as well as coming off screens, she found the bottom of the net at a consistent clip. This kid has a great frame that enables her to rise above the competition. She sees the floor well, contributes on both ends and doesn't fold when her team needs someone to step up. Had a solid year where she helped her ball club knockdown milestones along the way to a successful season.     Big body posts that knows how to position herself down low. She takes up real estate, burying the defense, then finishing at the rim. Has a solid mid-range game as well, where she can face up and exploit a defender. She is big-time on the boards, blocks shots, and holds down the painted area on defense. A solid ball player who impacts the game in more ways than one.     Solid wing player who has a quick first step. She can spot up along the arc and knock it down, however, if you come out aggressively on her, she will utilize that quick first step of her, put it on the floor, and quickly get into her 1 dribble pull-up motion. She finishes at the rim well, going through contact. She's solid on both ends of the floor, as she contributes in every phase of the game. A talented kid whose stock is on the rise.     A heady ball player who is a solid two-way guard. She can fill it up from all three levels, while also contributing on the defensive end. She's active in getting steals, deflections, and rebounds. Plays with speed, and poise, and always seems to be in the right spot at the right time. A heady ball player who gets after it from tip to the final horn.
