Always 100 Showcase: Morning Session

Over the last few years, the [program_tooltip program_id='716173' first='Always' last='100'] program out of Fort Wayne, Indiana, has hosted an all-day showcase for prospects in their program to be seen by Midwestern small colleges. A couple of weeks ago, they once again hosted this showcase at the Turnstone Center in Fort Wayne. This is the first of two articles highlighting players who stood out at the event, with this article focusing on the morning session.   .    I have really enjoyed watching Alivia's growth over the years, and she is primed to have a big Spring & Summer grassroots season. She is long, wiry-strong, and fluidly athletic. She has a solid handle, the ability to knock down rhythm jumpers from outside, but she can also play in the mid-post effectively and score over most defenders. I would anticipate her drawing quite a bit of high-level small college interest, from D2 to D3 and NAIA.     Maryrose is a fantastic outside shooter, but she has developed her game over the years to be able to contribute in many different ways. She handles it so much better now, she has a natural feel for the game, and she can find open teammates in positions to score. This will be a great opportunity this Spring & Summer to show coaches she can run a team from more of a point guard position against top competition. At minimum, she's a talented perimeter shooter.     Valencia spent her first two years at Culver Academy, but this year she transferred to Hammond Central, nearer her Gary home. She has always been a talented run & jump athlete, but I feel like she's starting to do a lot more off the dribble and was a lot more dynamic a couple of weeks ago. I still think she can become an elite perimeter defender with her length & athleticism, and with as much talent as she possesses, she should draw plenty of interest this Spring.     Aly is an extremely long, wiry-strong, quick, fast, and bouncy athlete. I can remember watching her back in 8th grade, and she has done a nice job of solidifying her skillset. She slices to the basket with relative ease, she has turned into a much more consistent perimeter shooter over the years, and she has some mid-range touch as well. I also like her ability to use her length and athleticism at the defensive end of the floor, plus she plays with a nice motor.     I felt like Addison was really steady each time I was able to see her. She has grown much more comfortable with the ball in her hands, and she's able to act as a solid game manager on the ball. She has always been a cerebral kid, plus she has nice touch from outside. She is a coach's kid, and I feel like she could draw a lot of nice small college interest this Spring & Summer because of her well-rounded play and basketball IQ.     Warsaw was very good this Winter, and while Cayleigh wasn't one of the biggest names on their roster, she is a really nice interior prospect who has value as a small college prospect. She is strong, physical, and hard-working. She almost always outworks her matchup from the other team. She is a solid rebounder, defender, and she's an opportunistic scorer who moves well inside without the ball. Look for her to play bigger roles moving forward.     I'm not sure how else to express it than to say Courtney might have one of the most subtly good games in the 2027 class. She is just solid...all the time. She is extremely long, wiry, and fluid/smooth. She can knock down open rhythm jumpers, handle the ball and run offense, or slice to the basket and finish around the rim. But I think the area where she is probably best is at the defensive end of the floor on the ball. She can be an elite defender at times.     Janaya came into the 2024-2025 season with some fanfare because of her elite level athleticism. Then she picked up an offer from the University of Notre Dame around Christmas, and she finished the season playing outstandingly. She has such good balance, start & stop ability, and bounce. As she continues to develop her handle and make her perimeter jumper more consistent, watch out, because she already has the athletic tools to succeed.     I was able to watch Nyomi on film in January, but seeing her live for the first time made a whole different impression. She is extremely long, fluidly athletic, and she has a solid start to a well-rounded skillset that will only get better. She can handle the ball a little, she has good vision and can pass it, plus she uses her length and athleticism well inside the arc to rebound, score, and defend. She has an extremely high ceiling to build toward.     Suzy is an extremely long, wiry, fluid, and skillful wing. She is a playmaker off the bounce, she has good vision and can find open teammates, plus she can score it in a variety of ways. Homestead is absolutely loaded with 2026 talent right now, so she's still trying to find her niche within their rotation, but I assure you based on what I saw last weekend that she can really go. She is also a part of the Italian National Team at her age level.
