On Friday, March 21st I attended the first annual Attitude of Gratitude Senior All-Star Game located at the phhacility in Phx.

There were some impressive players on hand for both teams and here were 10 standouts that caught my eye.

[player_tooltip player_id='371488' first='Sidney' last='Anderson'] Salpointe Catholic

The top ranked player in attendance backed it up. The GCU commit makes the game look easy with a very high feel for the game and seems to always be in control. She makes plays for her teammates and will score. She shoots the ball effortlessly from the three point line and drives to the basket. She has one of the prettier strokes in the state from the arc. She was named Co-MVP.

[player_tooltip player_id='825620' first='Norah' last='Moo'] Pinnacle

Another GCU commit is a load to deal with in the paint. She is a true post player who uses her size, long arms and pure strength to score inside versus her opponents with soft hands. She rebounds well and walls up to defend plus outlets the ball to her teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='939734' first='Gaby' last='Oliver'] Palo Verde

The Co-MVP of the event along with Anderson showed off her talents. She is a true bigger wing or combo guard who can score in bunches. She can hit the three off the dribble or catch plus get to the basket with a fluid handle or pull-up. She is also very competitive on defense to rebound and block shots. Buy stock on Oliver now!

[player_tooltip player_id='530987' first='Navae' last='Guidry'] Mesquite

A longer wing forward with fluidity and skill. She rebounds well in her area and can take the ball off the glass and go coast to coast. She loves getting downhill with her tighter handle, super long strides and will score with euro takes plus she can score thru the contact.

[player_tooltip player_id='1220283' first='Bry'Ann' last='Wiley'] South Mountain

A newcomer for me is a powerful true post player who can hold her ground versus anyone in the state. She is very strong with long arms, impressive mobility for her size and she is quicker laterally to defend. She can handle it a little to create some offense and will score closest to the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='558947' first='Maci' last='Hess'] Perry

One of the steadier performers of the event and the AIA season. The southpaw can score with mid-range jumpers plus uses a nice handle for position to get to the basket with ease. She rebounds well and plays a cerebral game with smart reads to teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='921151' first='Janae' last='Pritchett'] Sunnyside

A two-way defensive minded ball hawk. She can score, defend plus make some plays. She uses the floater game with a high arc and has real speed in the open court. She uses her quicker feet and hands to pester her opponents up the court and will rip some pockets.

[player_tooltip player_id='689062' first='Morgan' last='Van Dyke'] Paradise Honors

A jack of all trades scoring guard is scrappy on defense and will score. She will get to the basket to score, uses ball fakes and earns trips to the free throw line. She is not afraid to rebound and sees the court well.

[player_tooltip player_id='830790' first='Mariana' last='Vega'] Cibola

A newcomer for me is a a fluid power forward with some size. She can play both forward spots up front and handles it decently to push the tempo for her team and will make some up the court passes. She rebounds well in her area and will fight inside to score.

[player_tooltip player_id='1211418' first='Anna' last='LaFountain'] Eastmark

A highly skilled power forward can defend and score. She will wall up and rebound using her size and boxing out. She can score on put backs plus will step out and shoot the three with an easy stroke.
