The state finals had some solid floor generals on display, and here are a few that fit the bill…

[player_tooltip player_id='1222190' first='Macy' last='Moore'] (5'5/PG/'25/Brilliant)

Macy is a playmaker at the lead guard position who can orchestrate and shoot it well from deep. She plays with poise and maturity and is a trustworthy floor general. She creates her own scoring opportunities off the bounce and has nice passing and set-up ability, which she uses to get her teammates involved.

[player_tooltip player_id='1165482' first='Emma' last='Eastman'] (5'5/PG/'28/Decatur Heritage)

X: @Emmaeastman5

Emma is a lead guard who is young with a tight handle who commands the offense. She has a budding PG IQ, and despite having a lot of room to grow, she showed that she has a good foundation on how to play the PG spot. She does a good job prioritizing the team's needs and ensuring that what the coach wants on each possession is executed. She is a player we will closely keep our eyes on.

[player_tooltip player_id='371499' first='Armani' last='Thomas'] (5'4/PG/'26/Lauderdale County)

Armani is an impactful two-way player at the lead guard position. Offensively, she is relentless at getting the ball out in transition and up the floor before the defense can get set up. She does a good job of getting her team into their early offense and capitalizing on poor defensive transitions. Defensively, she is an aggressive on-ball defender who makes ball-handlers work to get any type of offensive production. Look for Armani to stay in the lab and have a huge senior season next year.

Lyrik Halls (5'7/PG/'25/TR Miller)

Lyrik is a lead guard who uses her ability to get by her defender and get paint touches to impact the game. She is very difficult to contain in one-on-one match-ups as she is constantly looking to put pressure on the rim. She was the engine that drove the offensive attack of her squad. She was a vocal leader, and you saw her maturity level play a key factor for her squad throughout the game.

Sophie is an 8th grader who had her talents on display in the biggest game of her young career. She is a young ultimate competitor who plays every possession like it's her last. She kept defenders on their heels as she was really good at getting downhill and slashing her way into the heart of the defense, where she was really good at making decisions with the rock. She did a really good job at controlling the game's momentum when needed. She shapes the entire flow of the game for her squad, and yes, I am talking about an 8th-grader.

Molly McDonald (5'6/PG/'27/St. Michael)

Molly is a small lead guard with instincts and a sharp feel for the game on both ends of the floor. She has to get faster with her feet, but she has a skill set that makes up for her lack of quickness. She makes the right reads with the ball in her hands, which opens up opportunities for her teammates. She also showed her ability to score at all levels and to get into her perimeter shot off the bounce.
