It feels like West Potomac has endless weapons and ways to attack you. Early in the game against South County [player_tooltip player_id='743471' first='Lina' last='Hashimi'] dominated. South County is a smaller team, and they had a tough time dealing with Lina. Lina does a great job finishing around the rim and is hard to stop out the post. She rebounds well, and she gives West Potomac another way to beat you. She finished with 10 points in a 2-point win that took West Potomac to states.

Robinson went 3-0 this week and captured an Occoquan Region Championship. In the Semi-final against Thomas Edison [player_tooltip player_id='327769' first='Jaymie' last='Bevins'] was fantastic. Jaymie does great work out the post and Edison had no answer for Robinson in the paint. Jaymie is a good rebounder and a good defender on an excellent defensive team. Jaymie had 16 against Edison.

Freshman Guard [player_tooltip player_id='1251857' first='London' last='Augustin'] should be on people's radar moving forward. London is a knockdown shooter and a terrific defender. She is a defensive playmaker with the ability to force turnovers and get easy buckets. London had 18 in the regional final.

Langley was a team that was expected to make a run at states, and that is exactly what they're doing. What was not expected was the level of production they had gotten from their freshmen. I've talked about [player_tooltip player_id='1003768' first='Alice' last='Allen'] a lot but [player_tooltip player_id='1201271' first='Mariah' last='Armah'] has been close to her in terms of impact. Mariah was fantastic in the regional semi against Centreville. This was a game of two of the best teams in NOVA, and Mariah stepped in a huge spot. Mariah is a terrific shooter, and that is where she usually does most of her work offensively. She hit 2 vs Centreville and did a great job at the line. She finished with 20 points.

What I like about this Langley team is that they have a nice mix of underclassmen and upperclassmen who know their roles. [player_tooltip player_id='598926' first='Anya' last='Rahman'] has been this team's best player for a couple of years, but I think she has taken a step back somewhat this year. In the Regional final, Anya did anything but that. She was efficient scoring the ball and finished with 19. Anya is a great ball-handler and can create for herself. She has a nice floater she gets to and is a good three-point shooter.

[player_tooltip player_id='755782' first='Olivia' last='Jones'] is the model of consistency for this West Potomac team. She had 18 points in both of West Potomac's regional playoff wins. Olivia always comes through in big spots and as I've said in the past, she's the engine for this West Potomac team.
