[player_tooltip player_id='248355' first='Alana' last='Pinnock'] played very well and was one of the most talented prospects in the building in any class. Her responsibilities on the court as a Freshman tell you everything: running the offense, leading the break, defending multiple positions, and scoring the ball. Pinnock played with great confidence, and when the game was on the line, she raised her level of play. The talented Freshman finished with 15 points.

Kasey Davie is a name you had better remember and look to see her back in Lakeland next year with Baskin and Loux. Davey connected on 8-12 shots in the State tournament, had several blocked shots, and averaged 6 rebounds per game. One play that comes to mind - Davie drove to the rim and elevated and scored over an outstretched player for Miami Country Day. It looked as if she was walking on air as she made the basket. Davie played well and an Honorable Mention is well deserved.

[player_tooltip player_id='346856' first='Sy'monique' last='Simon'] is a warrior and one of the brightest ball players in the building (Harvard bound). Simon finished the finals with one arm after dislocating her left elbow early in the second half. The “Swiss Army knife” guard had 11 points when she exited the game and several signature plays. Simon also had 14 points in the semifinals. Simon is the glue player on a team that features [player_tooltip player_id='243900' first='Kali' last='Barrett'] and [player_tooltip player_id='811751' first='Madi' last='Mignery']. Simon might have been an injury away from higher accolades, but walking back on the court for the game's final play might be more of a lasting memory than the game itself.

[player_tooltip player_id='1201802' first='Jannell' last='Houston'] provided a special performance in the 1A Finals. “Facing the Giants” (Grandview Prep), Houston poured in 24points, had 5 steals, and grabbed 7 rebounds. Her ability to score at all three levels showcased her talents. Houston also brought the energy on the defensive end and in transition. She and her teammates put 1A on notice that they could be back next year.

[player_tooltip player_id='419934' first='Abby' last='Price' put an exclamation on her career with a solid State tournament. In the 1A Finals, Price knocked down 4 three-pointers, grabbed 7 rebounds, scored 12 points, and handled the ball a large portion of the game. Price has been the coach on the floor all season and continued to display the ball IQ on the way to the 1A Championship.
