Olson is no stranger to the finals. She was here last year on a talented Mainland team, and the experience in the Finals could benefit Olson in the championship game. Olson has more than just experience in her repertoire. She has an offensive skillset that is top five in the State Championship series. Olson had over 90 three pointers entering the the final 4 and also brought her 21 point average with her. She can heat up quickly and will look to do so in the 5A Finals.

[player_tooltip player_id='418906' first='Ny'Keria' last='Flowers'] had a very good performance in the semifinals. Flowers and team fell short to Gainesville High School. Flower scored 17 points with 8 of them coming from the freethrow line. In addition to scoring, Flowers was the primary ball handler on the floor. She was on the attack all game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1052606' first='Jazmine' last='Jones'] delivered 17 points in defeat, but was a standout player. The speedy guard was aggressive for the entire game and has the ability to get into the heart of the defense and score or get to the freethrow line. Jones scored on all levels, including two three pointers for the game. The play that defines her ability was after a steal. She took it coast to coast and displayed a gear that not many have.

[player_tooltip player_id='346849' first='Mayah' last='Gordon'] came out the gate knocking down threes and made her presence felt with 2 three-pointers, a beautiful midrange shot, and went 5 of 6 from the freethrow line. If ever there was an X Factor in the 5A Semifinals, Gordon was it. She set the tone and sent the message that Gainesville has two great leaders, but the supporting cast was up for the challenge as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='214183' first='Taniyah' last='Davis'] picked up from last year's State Championship and once again shot the ball very well. Davis had a a great stat line: 25 points, 4 three-pointers, and 12 rebounds. The talented guard was very efficient, going 8 for 14 from the field. Davis is a versatile player who can run the point, play the two, and even the three - depending on the personnel on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='468627' first='Jasleen' last='Green'] knocked down 21 points, which included 7 freethrows, 2 three-pointers. Green is dangerous on the court and has rock solid handles that allow her to get anywhere on the court she wants to go to. She can go right or left, but taking it to the rim going left is a signature play for her. She puts great pressure on the defense with her physical style of play. Green has the ability to get to the rim, pull up with a “filthy” midrange or shoot the three off the catch or dribble. Most of her threes come off of her ball handling and her ability to create space and step back and shoot. Green is a polished offensive player who- probably the best offensive skillset in the building.

[player_tooltip player_id='514519' first='Carleyssia' last='Wallace'] posted a double- double with 10 rebounds and 10 points in a game that was decided by the end of the first quarter, and faced a running clock in the second half. Wallace is one of the most versatile players in this tournament . She has the physical size to mix it up on the inside with small forwards and power forwards, and the skillset and agility to play on the outside like a guard. The lefty shoots the three ball at a high rate and can also put the ball down on the floor and get to the rim. Wallace has a very good mid range, she runs well in transition, and she is a very skilled rebounder who can track the ball. Wallace could be the secret weapon in the finals as all eyes will be on [player_tooltip player_id='346835' first='Jaida' last='Civil'].

Other Standout Junior and Seniors:

[player_tooltip player_id='249400' first='Pink' last='Sturdivant'] poured in 15 points in the semifinals. Her team came up short. Sturdivant ends an amazing season and career at Clearwater.

[player_tooltip player_id='847610' first='Allevia' last='Williams'] continued her amazing season with a 15 point performance in the finals. The Junior guard will be one to follow for the next year.

[player_tooltip player_id='331759' first='Peyton' last='Flournoy'] had 12'points and 5 rebounds on the short end of the scoreboard. The Senior guard has an amazing season and will finish with an average around 13 points per game .

In this article, we continue to look at some of the upperclassmen who performed at a high level in the 4A and 5A Semifinals. Some have advanced to the finals and some ended up on the low side of the scoreboard and their phenomenal season has come to an end
