Elite Summer Squads: Carolina All Stars

Barnes has all of the tools. She plays hard on offense, she is an effective defender, and she makes good decisions for the All Stars. She is a capable three-point shooter from deep behind the line, and she can score in the paint. When Barnes attacks the rim, she is a willing passer if she draws multiple defenders. She can also finish with consistency.     Yancey makes things happen on the court because of her motor and her athletic ability. She shoots passing lanes, she rebounds with effort, and she has a pretty outside shot. Yancey can knock down multiple three-pointers in any game. She can also pressure the basketball and force steals that lead to immediate points for her squad.     Bryant is fun to watch. She is an elite player who creates positive opportunities for her team in all facets of the game. Bryant is calm and collected when she catches in the basketball in the paint. She runs the floor with the guards and finishes with consistency. Bryant is an exceptional athlete who is also very skilled on the basketball floor.     Mizzell is a beast on defense. She is very active and disruptive. She pressures the ball handler and is always around the basketball. Each game, Mizzell forces numerous steals and creates quick points for the Carolina All Stars. She is a terrific athlete who has a high motor.     Cherry is extremely versatile. She can play multiple positions on offense. She can shoot and handle like a small guard, and she can score in the paint like a post. Cherry attacks the rim to score and gets fouled. She is an aggressive player who creates space well for her jump shot. Cherry is an active rebounder and starts the breaks quickly after she collects a defensive rebound.     Richardson continues to get better and better. She runs the floor well, she can score with her back to the basket, and she can step out to three. Richardson is a force on defense who uses her length and basketball IQ to block or alter several shots per game.
