We are finally here in the Sweet 16 of the Frenzy tournament (thanks for your patience). Talk about some pretty solid matchups; this field of 16 ball clubs would be a tremendous batch of teams if they were to actually play. Talk about the talent that would be playing throughout this round, this would surely be some must-see box office material for sure.

Each of these clubs has young ladies who are impactful in their own way. A lot of these clubs that have made it this far are built with a tandem of two players. A few schools may have a solid 3, or heck, if you are Bradley, your starting 5 is good. My point is this: for those schools who have made it this far, they are built with star players who compete until there is nothing left.

What I like about this field of 16 which you will see, they come from all over the state and represent different classifications. Again, how they got here was based on our coin-flip model; however, if this truly were to happen, you better believe these matchups would be close games that would probably go down to the wire.

We will highlight more players as we reach the Final Four. Check out the recap from the coin flips in this Frenzy tournament.

Bradley Central vs. York Institute

York came out the gates fast with their ability to shoot lights out from the arc. Led by [player_tooltip player_id='408995' first='Reese' last='Beaty'] and Calli Franklin, the Dragonettes got some early contributions from these players. However, Bradley, being Bradley, settled in and started to dominate, utilizing their speed and quickness. They were able to turn York over and make them shoot some ill-advised shots. In the end, Bradley prevails, winning 3-1.

Goodpasture and Coffee Co.

This game was all Coffee, despite Goodpasture showing up ready to compete. Coffee Co. dominated inside and got contributions from the arc as well. [player_tooltip player_id='409035' first='Channah' last='Gannon'] and [player_tooltip player_id='361741' first='Olivia' last='Vinson'] were the two leading scorers as they got it done from multiple spots on the floor. Coffee Co. controlled this game right from the start and didn't look back. Coffee Co. advances, winning 4-0.

Nashville Christian vs. Bearden

Nashville Christian was primed and ready for this event. However [player_tooltip player_id='513233' first='Natalya' last='Hodge'] was on fire as she led the charge for her ball club. NC tried to get going, but Bearden just stifled their efforts, countering every move they made with a bucket of their own. Bearden advances, winning 3-1.

Coalfield vs. Lipscomb Academy

This was one of the most exciting matchups in the Sweet 16. Both teams are built very similarly. They have guards who can handle, posts who can thrive on the inside, and solid defensive wings who can do work as well. The one thing Coalfield didn't have that Lipscomb did is a deep bench. This game went back and forth, with each of these clubs winning a quarter in the first half. Coalfield won the third, and Lipscomb won the 4th. The game went into OT, and LA, doing Lipscomb things, rallied around [player_tooltip player_id='513243' first='Bella' last='Shepherd'] down the stretch, who hit a couple of key back-to-back 3s to seal the victory. Lipscomb advances to the next round.

Sevier Co. vs. CPA

This, too, was a solid matchup that saw two skillful teams go toe-to-toe with each other. Talk about a matchup that had solid guard play and could knock down shots from multiple spots on the floor. This game was tight early and was tied at halftime. Coming out of the half, CPA went on a run led by the inside presence of [player_tooltip player_id='822224' first='Jayda' last='Robinson']. She was big-time as she was in a position to keep possessions alive with timely put-backs from the weakside. CPA advances, winning 3-1.

Heritage vs. Knox-Webb

This East Tennessee matchup is one that has all the hype around it. This private vs. public matchup has two teams that have similar styles of play. Both love to play fast, have a post presence, and can shoot the outside ball at a high clip. Right from the start, this was a back-and-forth matchup in the 1st half. [player_tooltip player_id='810476' first='Carsyn' last='Swaney'] along with [player_tooltip player_id='409073' first='Chloe' last='Heath'] were getting it done for the Lady Mountaineers. However, the Lady Spartans of Knox Webb got it together and won the second half big-time. This matchup went into overtime, and the Lady Spartan,s behind stellar play from [player_tooltip player_id='513227' first='Meeyah' last='Green'], moved onto the next round, winning 3-2.

Westview vs. Dyersburg

This West Tennessee matchup was won with big-time implications. These two squads went back and forth against each other in the first half. Led by [player_tooltip player_id='593347' first='Chelby' last='Jordan'] and Joya Crawford, Dyersburg was getting high percentage shots as they attacked the paint with ease. Westview got down to business and kept the game close, winning the 4th quarter. Tied 2-2 heading into overtime, Westview got Dyersburg into foul trouble and hit some key free throws down the stretch to capture the win. Westview advances, winning 3-2 in overtime.

PCA vs. USJ

Young ballplayers were on display as these two squads went after each other. PCA went to town early, banging the low-post. [player_tooltip player_id='513278' first='Kayte' last='Madison Bjornstad'] was key as they went inside early, finishing with ease. When you have one of the best players in the country on your squad, things tend to take off sooner rather than later. USJ woke up coming into the second and never looked back. Led by [player_tooltip player_id='821641' first='Haylan' last='Ayers'] and [player_tooltip player_id='821748' first='Lilly' last='Teague'], the duo shut down the guard play of PCA and helped the Lady Bruins dominate the second half. USJ advances, winning 3-1.
