Lady Baller Insider (LBI) presented the Wilkins Report Jamfest (NCAA Certified Live Period) tournament in Howell on April 26th and 27th. Several local programs and a handful of clubs from regional states participated in the tournament. Most of the athletes were perfect for NAIA/D3/JUCO D2 colleges to evaluate, and there were several colleges on site. There was a buzz in the air as a "mystery guard" caught the attention of college coaches and scouts observing from the bleachers. Let's take a look at this "mystery prospect" and a few 17U guards who stood out on Saturday.

Eva seized the spotlight at Jamfest on Saturday with her impressive performance in front of college coaches and media. Everyone on the baseline was asking who she was. Eva was a dynamic, multidimensional scorer. She beat defenders to the basket with her quick dribble drives and buried multiple 3-pointers with confidence. Eva battled for offensive rebounds and finished an athletic baseline drive with a layup. She scored a strong and-one layup through contact and knocked down her free throws. Eva made it clear that she has next-level upside and will be a prospect to watch for [program_tooltip program_id='1239167' first='MWA' last='Queens'] this spring.

Makaila was impactful on both ends for [program_tooltip program_id='1226083' first='West' last='Michigan Drive'] MWG 17U at Jamfest on Saturday. Her quick lateral feet and in-your-face pressure agitated ball-handlers. Makaila wrestled the ball away for a steal and kept her hands active to cause deflections. She drove hard to the basket, finished layups through contact, and added an offensive rebound put-back. Makaila was dialed in from beyond the arc, drilling multiple corner 3's with a confident follow-through. Her hustle, effort, and performance energized the team.

Tamia is a pesky, shifty, and athletic point guard for [program_tooltip program_id='1226083' first='West' last='Michigan Drive'] MWG 17U. She swiped the ball away to score a layup and used a lightning-quick double-crossover dribble to blow by her defender for a layup off two feet. Tamia showed her hops by jumping way up to high point a pass. Her toughness, relentless defensive pressure, and handles stood out at Jamfest on Saturday.
