This weekend, many Wisconsin teams will play at the PGH Victory Region Kickoff in the Milwaukee area. There are plenty of names to know heading into the event. Since it's not a live period, there won't be any D1s in attendance in person, so we'll look at a few kids that the D2s and D3s could look at over the weekend. We'll start with some potential kids D2s could look at today.

The Wrightstown guard will be an intriguing kid to follow this spring and summer. Verbeten is a two-way guard who's been an excellent defensive presence for the Tigers in her three seasons at the high school level. Verbeten has steadily improved her consistency on the offensive end of the floor as well, which will help her. I'm still unsure what her ceiling is, but if she keeps finding ways to improve every year, that's a positive problem when evaluating a kid. She has an opportunity to have an impactful weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='533073' first='Izabel' last='Durst']

In the first season of Team Herro on the girl's side, Durst will be a key piece for her team. The Barneveld native is a scholarship-level guard. Her ability to create off the dribble is among the best in her class. She can create space whenever she wants and put points on the board. She's a kid who I'd assume a fair amount of D2s would see in person, and she's worth the watch. Playing in D5, Durst may not be a prominent name during the high school season, but she'll be a standout with Team Herro.

[player_tooltip player_id='751263' first='Kennedi' last='Harden']

Another Team Herro guard coaches should watch is [player_tooltip player_id='751263' first='Kennedi' last='Harden']. In the 2027 class, she's arguably the best ball handler of the lead guards in that class. She's always been a kid who's had the ball on a string, but her overall game improved over the past season. She's become more of a distributor and a more consistent defender. Playing for Reggie Williams at Team Herro will be good for her, and I suspect she'll improve over the summer. She could be a name that rises the most over the next few months. The skillset is there. It'll be a matter of being the closest thing to her best each time she steps on the floor, and she can do it.

[player_tooltip player_id='874380' first='Olivia' last='Williams']

I'm eager to see the Bay Port guard this summer. She had to play a lead guard role at times for the Pirates, which had varying results, but there are plenty of things to like about her game. Williams is an aggressive driver and can make plays around the rim whenever she wants. She can put pressure on the rim, which is what she wants to do more than anything. Williams also shot the ball better than I expected this season, making 40% of her three-point attempts on 5.2 attempts per game. There is something there, and there's still plenty of room to grow, but you can see the ceiling she has.
