Amelia Prochnow is ready to put her hard-work to the test in Arizona these next few days at EYBL Nike TOC. Prochnow is coming off of a weekend in Iowa in which she put up some impressive numbers and caught the attention of anyone that might happen to be walking by. Prochnow is a seasoned guard, that understands every situation that you can throw at her. Her understanding of her own experience and what to do when is second-to-none for someone of her age level. That's why she is someone to keep an eye on and that's why she is currently a Top 10 rated player out of her home state of Missouri for the 2027 Class.

When you have a player that produces in almost every category of the game in one way or another, it's noteworthy. That's what we have here with [player_tooltip player_id='896148' first='Sophia' last='Varn'] of [program_tooltip program_id='715717' first='Nebraska' last='Supreme'] and her first contest on the day on Friday morning in Texas. Varn finished game one with 6 points (2/6, 5 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Including going 2/4 from behind the three point line to register her 6 total points. With Varn's size and natural length, you can tell that she is someone under the hoop that is self-aware. She makes good choices a majority of the time down there and that leads to her stuffing the stat sheet in most categories. That she can also step out and hit three's adds another layer to her game. It's early on in her career but there is a lot to like about Varn. I think she plays the game the right way and that could translate to the next level before you know it.

We have said for 2 years now that Averie Lower is one of the best shooters that the state of Iowa has to offer at the high school level. Well on Friday morning in AZ, Lower has been going crazy from three point land. She started things off by hitting 6 of her first 7 shots from deep behind the arc and from there she never looked back. Her North Tartan 17U EYBL team did come up just short to CP3 17U EYBL but it wasn't due to the lack of effort. There were several college coaches with their eyes on this contest to start the weekend and I think Lower just made a big case for herself at the P4 level. She already holds other P4 offers but a showing like this can really escalate your recruitment, if seen by the right staff.

If you are looking for a next level catch-and-shoot prospect out of the 2027 Class, look no further than [player_tooltip player_id='753083' first='Rowan' last='Swartz'] of [program_tooltip program_id='715717' first='Nebraska' last='Supreme'] 16U. Swartz, a 5'7 SG, displays a perfect shooting form whenever she lets it go. In any situation she is always balanced in her stance, her legs are set, her feet are shoulder width apart, and she is ready to shoot the ball a lightning rate so it doesn't get tipped or blocked. In her team's first contest of the weekend, Swartz helped her team to a victory hitting some catch-and-shoot jumpers from about 5FT behind the three point line. She didn't seem to force any of these shots but instead, she just took what the defense gave her and she made the most of it. I do think that Swartz is a next-level shooter and player overall. If she can find her fit within the right system, she could thrive for years to come.
