Southern Arizona 2027 Breakout performers

The 2027 Class is absolutely loaded with talent in Southern Arizona. The class has at least 20 college prospects, so ranking these prospects is very challenging. The following prospects are under the radar right now but will be huge impact players in the 2025/2026 Season. All of these players are getting All-Region Recognition and will continue to climb up the Arizona Rankings Lists.    [player_tooltip player_id='1196511' first='Asia' last='Clark'] was 2cnd Team All 5A Southern Region as a Sophomore and helped lead her Pueblo Warrior team to another Final 4 appearance. She is a long Guard/Forward that can play multiple positions on both offense and defense. She is a very good 3 level scorer and she is a solid defender and rebounder. She is mentally and physically tough and she excels in clutch situations under pressure. She will definitely play on the next level. Tremendous upside.     [player_tooltip player_id='1197262' first='Leila' last='Whitaker'] is just now starting to get back to full speed after an ACL tear in 2023. She is an Outstanding shooter especially from 3. She is fearless on the offensive end, and thrives in pressure situations. She is a terrific ball handler and decision maker that will settle into the point guard position with her older sister graduating. She is a good defender and she has a great attitude and work ethic. She will play on the next level.     [player_tooltip player_id='1197321' first='Sabrina' last='Wexler'] is a solid combo guard that can play 3 positions on offense and defense. Guard and Forward. She is the ultimate team player. She is unselfish, she has an incredible attitude, and she is one of the most coachable players I have come across. She is an outstanding shooter, and is very efficient with the tough mid-range shots. She is a highly motivated athlete that excels in multiple sports and is a high academic achiever as well. Her Rincon team will be very good the next few years and Sabrina will be a major factor in how far they will go.     [player_tooltip player_id='1196508' first='Brooklyn' last='Espinosa'] is perhaps the most intriguing prospect in this class. She has really developed well the last 2 years, and her stock continues to rise. She was a big factor in helping Pueblo get to the Class 4A Final 4. She can play guard, but she is counted on as a Forward in Pueblo's system, and she is thriving. She is a very good defender and rebounder, and many times she is counted on to guard the opposing team's best offensive player. She is smart, she is driven, and she will put the necessary work in to continue to develop her all-around game. She is definitely a College prospect and will be leaned on heavily by the Warriors as they compete for a State Championship in 2026.     [player_tooltip player_id='899225' first='Zena' last='Smith'] is an excellent Combo Guard that is flying underneath the radar right now in the 2027 class. She is an excellent multi sport athlete that is thriving both in sports and in the classroom. She is a very good shooting guard and has excellent ball handling skills. She makes very good decisions with the ball in her hands and she thrives in pressure situations. She is definitely a college prospect and her development over the next year and a half will be critical in her evaluation process.
