Last month, we updated our rankings in each of the four graduating classes currently in high school. With the Spring grassroots season in full swing, I wanted to take a moment to press 'pause', go back, and look at the Point Guards in the Class of 2027 who we currently have ranked. Below that is a little analysis on a handful of them as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='751088' first='Korinne' last='Nickolson'], 2027, 5-4 PG, Pike H.S.
- Korinne has already logged two productive years as the facilitator for the Lady Red Devils, helping them to one of their more successful seasons in program history in 2024-2025. She is strong for her size, she plays with nice pace, and she has lateral quickness and does a nice job of defending the ball. She shoots it well enough outside to keep defenses honest, plus she has a nice mid-range pull-up/floater. If colleges are willing to look past her height, they could land a really nice lead guard.

[player_tooltip player_id='751087' first='Kendal' last='Price'], 2027, 5-6 PG, Mooresville H.S.
- Kendal has always been a pretty well-balanced athlete who plays with a good motor, as she seems to enjoy just being in the gym most days. She is a little more offensive-minded than just a distributor, as she likes to use her ability to attack the basket North/South, plus she has touch outside and is an excellent free throw shooter. I'm not really sure what exactly Mooresville will put around her in the coming two years, but I'd expect her to step into a much bigger scoring/leadership role for the Pioneers.

[player_tooltip player_id='751114' first='Olivia' last='Pratcher'], 2027, 5-5 PG, Daleville H.S.
- Olivia is probably one of the most under-the-radar prospects in the 2027 class in Indiana. She is strong, she has broad shoulders and nice length, plus she is a talented athlete who can really attack downhill. She has grown 3-4 inches since I first saw her as an incoming Freshman 18 months ago, and her second season on Varsity was much better as well. This year she averaged 12.7 points and 4.0 assists per game, to go along with 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals. Once she adds a consistent 3-point shot, watch out!

[player_tooltip player_id='751103' first='Marley' last='Warren'], 2027, 5-5 PG, Trinity Lutheran H.S.
- Marley is one of those fun-to-watch point guards who plays with a bit of flash and creativity. She is feisty, hard-working, but also skilled and has a nice IQ for the game. She does a solid job of creating opportunities to find teammates by putting pressure on the defense. However, she can also get downhill and finish, draw contact and make free throws, plus she's an efficient 3-point shooter who you must defend outside. She has the talent to become a very good defender herself, on or off the ball.
