2028 Basketball Class: Rising Stars Ready to Shine

These kids bring the secret sauce that adds to their team's success. I have said this before, that this 2028 class is special. One thing is for sure: their shooting guards are truly legit when it comes to putting the ball through the hoop.   Sometimes when you are a newbie on campus, there is a feeling-out period. Not with these girls from this position. It's like they scream, “ throw me the ball,” and watch them work. Multiple girls from this spot really helped elevate their ballclub. It might not have shown so much in the win column all of a sudden, but as far as confidence goes, they helped instill that in themselves and in others.   Here are some 2028 sharpshooters that will break records and then some by the time they are seniors. This class is nice and is filled with kids who compete and get after it.      Unique. Watching this young lady perform, you don't get the sense of a traditional catch-and-shoot type of player. She is a creator who can do it herself if need be. She can come off a screen, create on her own by putting the ball on the floor, receive a pass, and get right into her shooting motion. She can fill it up, and when she is on fire, she is hard to put out. I know I hit on her scoring, but she can do much more than that. She can facilitate the rock, contribute on the boards, get steals, block shots, and defend. She is a solid prospect who can play at multiple speeds. A heady ballplayer with a bright future.     Big guard who can do all things. For starters, she uses her size to her advantage, and she does so on both ends of the floor. Her length poses as a threat as she can block shots, get steals, and contribute in the rebounding phase of the game. Offensively, she can knock it down from 3, take her opponent off the dribble, or body up down on the blocks, creating a mismatch she can exploit. Her game has grown over the year, and her stock is on the upswing. This young lady goes to work as soon as the ball tips off. She is a sensational ballplayer who is going to give it her all on each and every possession.     She is on a tear. A dynamic scoring threat that is going to find a way to put the ball through the hoop. How she does it, who cares? If she gets an opportunity, she will find a way to do so. She can lock up on D, get a steal, and vroom, she is off in the other direction. She can score in a set by attacking a gap or rising above the opposition from deep. My point in describing this young lady is that she is no stranger to scoring and will do whatever it takes to help her team win. Solid kid who is going to break some OHS records before it is all said and done.     This kid is a gamer who plays with a lot of energy and effort. She can fill it up, and she does so from various spots. Her offensive game she puts on the show, but her defense is what is really key as she goes to work. She gets after her opponent, making them look silly as she locks into them. Outside the lines, she is one way, but inside the lines, she is an absolute dog. Look for her to continue to thrive and be a force to be reckoned with for the rest of her high school career. This kid is talented, and she isn't done growing her game yet.     A very special talent that is out to show everyone in the gym what she is all about. She has handles, can shoot from multiple spots at a high clip, defend like crazy, and really contribute in every phase of the game. She is a go-getter who has a great understanding of the game and what is needed. She is a fearless warrior who plays each and every possession like it's her last. She is a solid ballplayer who will be an intricate part of the Lady Firebirds' success as they look towards reaching state contention. Look for her to be one of Metro Nashville's solid guards for the next couple of years.
