Southern Showdown: Saturday (May 10) Shooters Shoot

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The gym on Saturday for the Southern Showdown held in Norman at the YAC was loaded with players who can shoot the ball. My list could have been double the number as you could tell players had been putting that work in for the second Live Period coming up. I chose 3 from Oklahoma that maybe you have not hear of before and 2 Arkansas players that you need to check out. As always I know I miss a few as I had no rosters to go by so if so hit me with those highlights. Showed range and the quick pull up 3 on fastbreaks. Good rhythm shooter off the bounce using several pound dibbles setting up the defender for a quick step back shot. that knocked down several 3-pointer in the first game of the day on Saturday. I am not sure what her percentage was for the day but I would guess at least 50%. First impression at that point was a shooter who started out the game red hot from the 3-point line. So it was great to have the opportunity to see her play again this weekend.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>She continued Saturday right where she left off the last time I saw her play. Red hot from the 3-point line. A guard that gets out on the fastbreaks getting to the win for the kick up the floor 3. This shooter has deep range that must be respected. More than a spot up shooter she can also knock down the 3 off the bounce. Not many players you should have to fight over on the screens in high school. Charley is one that you must. She was on fire Saturday from the 3-point line helping her team go 2-0 for the day. If you have seen Kamyiah seen before you know that she is a very diverse player that at 5'9 could play the 3 position as well. A strong downhill driver that can get to the gaps on offense and make things happen. Saturday, she made a living at free throw line as teams starting running her off the 3 point line. Saturday Daley showed off the 3-point skill set she has in her bag. Moved great without the ball setting up the perfect angle for the inside out game. Not much wasted movement in her mechanics in her shooting motion. It is simply a catch and shoot. Daley got hot Saturday helping her team with a good run in the game I watched. Great size, athletic ability and can play shooting guard or small forward.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
