The problem with having so many great prospects in one class is trying to pick one for the top. It'll leave four other groups upset. All five are players that project out to be Power 4 prospects. All five have produced individual moments of brilliance to back up their long term potential. It's a great class, filled with players who have and will continue to entertain Oklahoma basketball fans and make college coaches very happy in a few years.

If you the reader have a stronger argument for any of these 5 to be number one, I would simply shrug my shoulders and agree that you could be right. These rankings serve as a snapshot of the current time. And will be fluid for the next two years of these prospect's high school careers. The numbers next to the names also won't define if a player is or is not successful at the next level, but people sure do love to read and look at rankings. So here we are...

Here's the number one thing about Miles; every time she steps between the lines, she brings it. And she brings it in every facet of the game. She's the best passer in this class. Amazing transition dimes, drives and kicks, tight window passing etc. It's the unselfishness and energy giving she plays with which sets her apart. Especially as it translates to a whirlwind of destruction on the defensive end. Regularly racks up the steals and blocks.

Despite her unselfish nature, she can take over games as a scorer as well. Especially as she has improved her three point shooting, making her arguably the most well rounded player in Oklahoma. With a dog mentality, she's a great example of a small town player who "got it from the mud". More colleges have started to notice, with Baylor and Oklahoma State offering. Along with other Power 4 programs starting to make the pilgrimage to small towns in Northern Oklahoma to watch the fearless competitor.

The production highs for Holmes are amazing. She's one of the most gifted athletes to come through Oklahoma in recent years. Which is saying something with the recent talent Oklahoma has produced. She also has the offensive skill level to match. Text book pull up jumpers, spot up triples, graceful and outstanding footwork on drives. She's very often a problem on the court.

The Rougher has had great games this year, including standout performances against Putnam City North. But there also has been some lows, including the Mustang Holiday Classic. Where Muskogee dropped the first two games, including a loss to a small town foe. But when Holmes is on, she's near unstoppable. And it could make for a memorable playoff run as she can produce some of the best performances of any player in Oklahoma.

Electric is the best way to describe Woods' game. She's an amazing combination of silky and explosive as an scorer. One possession she'll stop on a dime and drain a tough pull up. The next possession will see her explode to the rim, hang in the air and deliver a crazy acrobatic finish. Not to mention arguably the best handles in the class. She's a box office player, who can score in bunches. Impressively this year she's improved her passing and combo guard abilities. While also flying around and making more plays on the defensive end. The Torjettes were runner ups in Class 4A last year, and are expected to contend again for the title.

One of the best two way players in the state. Has outstanding timing on the defensive end with help rotation blocks, jumping passing lanes and more. Often turns those steals into instant offensive with long, graceful strides and outstanding finishing abilities. Plays with a swagger that seems to turn up a notch in the biggest games. Took over a couple games in December against top 5A contender Del City for a comeback win with a dominating fourth. A few weeks later she dominated against 6A contenders Edmond North. In a January match up against 6A Mustang, Newcastle got off to a slow start. But still won by double digits thanks to a 20 point, 7 rebounds, 5 steal, 3 block performance. To balance her ability to attack the basket, Kindred has become money in the mid-range. And must be respected from beyond the arc.

With the Lady Racers as favorites in 5A, odds are if they fulfill their promise it will be with Kindred leading the way with signature highlight plays on both ends of the court.

One of the best and most powerful athletes in Oklahoma, King has these takeover moments where she changes games. It's pretty simple, when she's in attack mode she explodes to the rim with rare power for putbacks and slashing drives. Consistency in producing those moments has been the key to her making the next step. Which she has been more consistent this season. King's addition to Newcastle has helped put them over the top, as they're 20-2, while being undefeated against in state competition. One of her best performances came in a national event. Where she went for 26 points against prestigious California program, Mater Dei. Refining and being more consistent with her jumper will be the next step for the super sophomore. If she improves there, the sky is the limit.
