It's borderline insane to even think about the class of 2030 but some of these players are undeniable talents who are already making an impact at the varsity level in Kentucky. Here's a look at some rising 8th graders who have already made their way on to my radar for the future.

Edmondson already has good size at 5'10 and just averaged a little over 9 points per game at Franklin County while starting as a 7th grader. Jylin shot over 34% from three and 46% overall. Those numbers would be good for a Senior, let alone a 7th grader. Edmondson is a name to remember for years to come.

There seems to be no shortage of tall Packer ladies roaming the halls of Bullitt County schools. Ava is the next up. Aubrey and [player_tooltip player_id='915873' first='Lyla' last='Packer'] both played every game for the Lady Chargers this past season and I won't be surprised if there comes a time in 2026 when all three of the Packer ladies are on the court together.

Going back to Franklin County, Taylor is another big time talent in this 2030 class and has the opportunity to rack up a ton of wins in the next few years while also looking like a future D1 talent for the Lady Flyers. La'kyiah is a good shooter in addition to being able to attack the paint and make good decisions with the ball in her hand. Keep an eye out for her next season as she is potentially a starter at Franklin County as an 8th grader.

Groves is already one of the best shooters in the 16th region as she knocked down 38% of her threes on 225 attempts as a 7th grader starting varsity. Kollyn is only going to get better as she gets stronger and more comfortable attacking the paint and finishing through contact or getting to the free throw line. Groves and [player_tooltip player_id='743739' first='Jada' last='Ray'] should make a formidable duo for the next two years and Kollyn looks like a future D1 player, even at this young age.
