The PGH Peach Games took place on Saturday/Sunday with teams coming to the Atlanta metro area from the following states: Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Texas, North Carolina, and South Carolina. It's always exciting to watch a player, be impressed, and then look in the roster book to see they are younger than expected. Below are some Class of 2028 & 2029 players that were competing in the 16U or 17U divisions at PGH Peach Games:

Ansley plays up a class on 16U, and that 16U team was playing up in the 17U division this weekend which means she was technically playing up two classes. She was the floor general for [program_tooltip program_id='713173' first='Wood' last='Elite'] all weekend and controlled the pace and the game for her team on their way to a 3-1 weekend against older competition. Her court vision, crisp passes, and even nice touch passes over the top of defenders made her one of the best point guards at the Peach Games. She's also able to get to the basket and hit a really nice runner off the glass in the game I watched.

Jordyn was playing all the up in the 17U division as a player who could be down as low as 14U with her age. She helped lead her [program_tooltip program_id='713452' first='FBC' last=''] Dynasty team to a 4-0 finish at the PGH Peach Games. Her ball handling, shooting ability, and overall basketball IQ will make her one of the best 2029's in Georgia for years to come. She showed off some really impressive handles and distributed the ball to her teammates unselfishly with excellent awareness and court vision. JT certainly didn't stand out as an 8th grader playing up so many age groups.

Jaydah played up two levels with a really young group, but she stood out as the best player on her team all weekend long. Her high motor was incredible as she was absolutely everywhere on the floor at all times. She showed off some really nice handles and change of direction skills with the ball in her hands as one of the shiftiest dribblers at Peach Games. JB was a blur most of the time with her speed, but when you did see her, she was hitting a stepback three ball or flying into passing lanes on defense.

Madison had the fun task of being face guarded in the game I watched as she played up two grade levels in the 17U division. This lefty showed that she could score it at all three levels which is somewhat rare for someone with only one high school season under their belt. She's a crafty guard who has some sharp handles and was knocking down three ball and mid-range jumpers when I was watching. Her athleticism showed on both sides of the court and was hard to handle for most teams she played against.

Aleksa is a 2028 player that competed up two grade levels in the 17U division in Georgia at the Peach Games. She has nice length for her frame, passed the ball very well, and did a great job of pushing the ball in transition when she got a rebound. Her shot is very high-arcing, but she did hit a couple in the game I saw. I was impressed with her ability to get downhill to the rim and finish with either had at the basket.

Makenna may have been the most polished class of 2029 player I saw at the PGH Peach Games. She played with a sort of swagger and confidence that didn't make her look like she was playing 17U ball as an 8th grader. Mak shot it well from long range, hit some nice pull-up jumpers, and had a sweet stepback move in her bag. Her passing ability was impressive with her vision to see the entire floor and push the ball ahead with a pass rather than using unnecessary dribbles.
